How we got started
Most junk removal companies probably won’t tell you the truth about how they started.
We will.
Golden Isles Junk Removal started the same way a lot of things do around here — two friends, a little too much pride, and just enough pressure at home to finally do something about it.
To put it plainly… our wives were tired of hearing, “We’ll figure it out.”
And they weren’t wrong.
So what started as a side hustle — a borrowed trailer, a couple of long days, and a willingness to take on the jobs nobody else wanted — quickly turned into something real. At first, it was simple: people had junk, we hauled it away, everyone was happy.
When it stopped being a side hustle
But somewhere along the way, something didn’t sit right.
We started noticing just how much of what people called “junk” wasn’t junk at all.
Perfectly good furniture. Appliances that still worked. Items with life left in them — just headed straight for the landfill without a second thought.
And once you see that, you can’t unsee it.
So we made a decision.
If we were going to do this, we were going to do it differently.
We started separating what we picked up. Donating what we could. Making the extra stops. Taking the extra time. Not because it was faster — it wasn’t — but because it felt right. Because somewhere in this same community, there’s always someone who could use exactly what someone else is throwing away.
That’s when this stopped being a side hustle… and started becoming something we actually cared about.
How we work
Today, Golden Isles Junk Removal is built on that same mindset.
Yes, we show up on time. Yes, we work hard. Yes, we clean up like we were never there.
But more than that — we take pride in doing things the right way when nobody’s watching. In treating people fairly. In respecting your home, your time, and your trust.
We know when you call a junk removal company, you’re not just hiring someone to haul stuff off.

That matters to us.
Meet Charlie
And just so you’re not caught off guard — every now and then, you might see our third “team member” riding shotgun.
Charlie.
He’s a standard poodle, takes his job very seriously, and has yet to successfully lift a single piece of furniture. But morale has never been higher when he’s around, so we keep him on.
Why we do this
Truth is, we didn’t set out to build a company.
We just set out to solve a problem.
Make a little money. Do right by people. Maybe, if we’re being honest, hear a little less about it at home.
What we ended up building was something better.
A business we’re proud of. A way to give back. And a reputation we intend to earn — every single job.

We’re available around the clock, six days a week. Sundays we slow things down, like most folks around here — open noon to five.
