How pricing works at Golden Isles Junk Removal.

Junk removal pricing comes down to a handful of things: volume, weight, access, disposal route, and crew time. That’s the entire formula, and we’re happy to walk you through how each one shows up in your number.

The biggest factor is volume — how much space the load takes up in our truck. The truck-load table above is where most jobs land. A single couch is a small load. A whole-garage cleanout is a big one. And the space something takes is only ever part of the story: the same couch is a different job at the top of a staircase than it is sitting in an open garage. So we look at the actual items, price what’s really there, and give you one number before anything is loaded.

Weight matters when the materials are heavy enough that the landfill or recycler charges by weight rather than just by load. Concrete, dirt, slate from pool tables, certain construction debris — these all add disposal cost beyond what volume alone explains. The customer-facing number reflects that honestly.

Disposal route matters too, and it is not the same route for everything. A dead refrigerator has to go to a facility set up to recover the refrigerant, which is a different destination and a different cost than ordinary junk. Construction debris and yard material are only accepted at some facilities and not others. Mattresses go wherever a responsible reuse, recycling or disposal option is practical and available. Donation-grade furniture is offered to organizations we work with, such as Habitat ReStore, and they decide what they take. Each of those has a different cost profile, and part of what you are paying for is somebody knowing which one your load belongs in.

Most of the time, all we need is a few pictures. Text photos of what needs to go to (912) 222-1677, or send them through our quote form, and one of our estimators will look at how much it weighs, how long it’ll take, how many people we’ll need and what it’s going to cost. We’ll usually have a price back to you within about 30 minutes, sometimes faster.

Phone quotes work too, for most furniture, single-appliance, and small-cleanout calls. We ask the right questions — what it is, how much there is, where it is and how we get to it — and most of the time we can give you a real number on the line. No obligation.

For larger or more complicated projects, especially estate cleanouts and hoarding cleanups, we’ll sometimes come out and take a look in person. It’s free, there’s no obligation, and we walk the property and give you a written number before we leave.

Very rarely, and that’s exactly how we want it. Before we give you a price, we’ve looked at the photos, asked the questions we need to ask and figured out what the job will take. If we underestimate how long something will take or how heavy it is, that’s on us. We’re the professionals, and you shouldn’t pay extra because we misjudged something.

Every once in a while we’ll get there and somebody says, “While you’re here, could you take this too?” — and “this” turns into six more things and a lawnmower. We’re happy to have that conversation.
