Need an Old Gazebo Taken Down Behind a St. Simons Home?
Same-Day Gazebo Removal on St. Simons Island Often Available — Call or Text
Yes, we take gazebos down and haul them away. A gazebo is a small building with no walls, and the roof is where most of the work lives. Shingles or panels come off first, then the rafters and the ring holding them, and only then the posts and floor, so nobody ends up working under weight with nowhere safe to go.
St. Simons Island
Gazebos on the island’s larger lots
A good share of island gazebos stand inside gated communities. When there’s a gate, we arrange the code or a scheduled access window with whoever handles it before the truck is sitting there, and then it slows nothing down. Inside, the pace is set by what we’re carrying out and what we’re carrying it past.
The gazebo might stand behind a home by the golf course at St. Simons Island Club or out in Hampton Plantation.
After a storm, a racked gazebo is usually one item on a longer list, and the island’s work tilts toward debris and urgent cleanup. We keep you posted through those weeks rather than overpromise, and a leaning frame comes down carefully, from the side that isn’t going anywhere.
Up the north end, ground can be soft and the distance to the driveway long. When the trailer can’t get close, posts and roof sections are walked out by hand, and that’s planned from your photos rather than discovered on the day.

What we handle
Taking a gazebo apart
Wood gazebos rot at the post bases and the floor joists, with help from termites; metal kits rust at the fasteners and lose their canopies in the first good blow. Either kind comes apart in the same order.
One sitting on pavers or its own deck releases faster than one on concrete footings. The footings are something we can look at: send us a few photos and tell us where it is, and we’ll tell you what it takes.
Before we go, the ground gets raked clear of nails, screws and shingle bits.
Send us a few photos and tell us what you need removed. We’ll take it from there.
After the pickup
Where it goes
We figure out the right destination for each part. Metal frames and roof panels usually go to scrap recycling, often at SA Recycling in Brunswick.
Wood, shingles and decking are sorted by material, and the load crosses the causeway with us straight to Brunswick.
Pricing
What changes the price
Its size, its roof and how it meets the ground decide most of the time. A canopy kit on pavers is quick work. A big shingled wood gazebo with its own floor and posts in concrete takes real time, and every extra stretch between it and the truck adds to that.
Firm price from your photos, confirmed before anything is loaded. The minimum for any pickup is $95. We don’t charge extra for same-day pickup when we have an open time slot.
