Need a Rotten Deck Torn Down and Hauled Off in Darien?
Call or Text for the Next Deck Removal & Demolition Opening in Darien
Can we take down your old deck? Yes. Deck removal is real demolition work, and it’s work we do: boards up, frame down, hardware pulled, and the lumber cut to lengths that load cleanly. A deck that has gone soft, stairs nobody trusts, the screened porch on top — it can all come down and leave as one scope.

Decks around Darien
Coastal decks carry a lifetime of salt air and humidity in the wood, and a McIntosh County deck that faces the marsh has soaked up more of it than most. By the time someone calls, the boards are spongy and the screws have rusted into the joists — slow teardown work, and we plan the day for it.
Storms are the other deadline. A sagging deck or a loose rail is one more thing for the wind to pull apart, and properties with outbuildings and old structures can lose a lot in one blow. Spring and fall are the natural windows for a teardown like this — the weather cooperates and a bigger job gets the time it needs.
If the deck coming down is in Ashantilly near Fort King George or in Belleville up in the northern part of the county, the method stays the same. A deck added onto in stages over the years comes apart board by board and then frame, in the reverse of how it went up.
The fence the stairs led to, a shed, a pergola, the lumber pile under the house — when they’re going too, a long rural drive and a tight spot for the truck get planned once, and it’s one trip out from Brunswick instead of several.

What we handle
What we take care of
Boards first, then the frame. A deck attached to the house comes off at the ledger board, and we work carefully so the wall behind it isn’t damaged; patching and finishing the house wall afterward is a job for another trade.
A deck sits squarely inside light, non-structural demolition, which is our work. For anything structural on the property — load-bearing walls, framing, additions — send photos and we’ll tell you what it takes and who needs to be involved. If a permit is needed, we’ll sort it out with you when we quote.
Deck lights or a hose bib in the framing? When licensed electrical or plumbing work is needed, that’s normally handled by you or a licensed pro. Show us what you have and where it is, and we’ll help figure out what’s needed and work around it.
Send us a few photos and tell us what you need removed. We’ll take it from there.
After the pickup
Where it goes
Rotted and pressure-treated deck lumber goes to disposal; routing follows the material, and landfill is for what has no better use.
Joist hangers, screws, metal railings and flashing usually go to scrap at SA Recycling in Brunswick.
Sound boards or rail sections are sometimes worth offering to an organization like Habitat for Humanity ReStore, which decides what it accepts; condition matters, so it’s never promised.
Pricing
What changes the price
Size, materials and what comes down with it. A small ground-level wood deck is the light end; a raised, multi-level deck with a screened porch and stairs is the heavy end. Old wood with rusted fasteners takes longer than composite, which separates from the joists more cleanly.
Concrete footings under the deck are something we can look at from your photos. Access — a long drive, soft ground, how close the truck can get — is built into the price from the start.
Firm price from your photos, confirmed before anything is loaded. The minimum for any pickup is $95.
