Who Can Take the Old Exercise Bike Out of a Darien Home?
Call or Text for the Next Exercise Bike Removal Opening in Darien
Yes, every type. The upright that’s been a coat rack for four years, the recumbent nobody can get around the stair landing, the smart bike whose screen stopped updating. You don’t have to pretend anybody was going to ride it again — it just needs to leave.
Darien
Exercise bikes leaving Darien-area homes
When a parent moves into something smaller, the exercise bike in the spare room is one of the things that doesn’t make the trip. Downsizing and estate work turns them up in back bedrooms and converted offices, usually alongside a lot of other furniture the family is sorting through.
It could be a recumbent in the back bedroom of a Black Island house or a smart bike in a home up Highway 99 in Crescent. Spring and fall tend to be when families take on the bigger cleanouts out here, and that’s when plenty of these come out together with the rest of the house.
A smart bike brings one more consideration out here. The screen is electronics, and the McIntosh County facility doesn’t accept electronics — so that part of the load rides to Broadhurst in Wayne County, while the steel frame heads for scrap. The material decides where the truck goes.

What we handle
Getting the bike out
An upright is the light one, a single-person carry on most floors. A spin bike is heavier and carries its weight in the flywheel; a recumbent is the awkward one, long and high-backed, and on a tight landing we unbolt the seat-back to get it around the turn.
Smart bikes run heavier still, and the screen is the most fragile part — we wrap it or carry it separately. Nothing needs testing or repairing ahead of time; if anything unusual is going on, a photo and a note about where it sits are all we need.
Send us a few photos and tell us what you need removed. We’ll take it from there.
After the pickup
Where it goes
A bike that still works can be offered to donation outlets we work with, such as HART here in McIntosh County; they decide what they accept, and condition matters.
Frames from bikes that are done usually go to scrap at SA Recycling in Brunswick.
Smart-bike screens and consoles go to places like Broadhurst, since electronics stay out of the McIntosh County landfill.
Pricing
What changes the price
Type and floor. A standard upright from a downstairs room is the lightest pickup; a smart bike carried down from upstairs is the heaviest, and a recumbent sits in between because its shape adds time even at a moderate weight.
On a downsizing or estate job, the bike is simply part of the load and priced with everything else leaving that day, with larger jobs quoted in stages.
Firm price from your photos, confirmed before anything is loaded. The minimum for any pickup is $95.
