Fort Stewart sets the calendar here more than anything else. Families arrive on orders, deploy, come home and get PCS orders, and a lot of those moves leave an apartment to empty. Property managers need units cleared quickly for the next tenant, and somebody leaving on a hard date is thinking about the moving truck, not the old futon in the spare room.

We serve military families living off post, so an apartment or townhouse in town, or out toward Allenhurst and the neighborhoods off 84, is regular territory for us.

It is a real drive from Brunswick. We account for it by building the route around where we’re working that day, giving you an honest arrival window and then keeping it, and the drive is already inside the price we quote. Scheduled apartment work up here is usually within the week, so a call as soon as the move-out date is set gives us the most room.

A few photos of the rooms and one of the stairwell tell us most of it: how much is going and how hard it is to get out. From those we give you a firm price.

Complex rules about loading and parking are ours to work inside. Everything leaves on our truck, so nothing lands in the complex dumpster and turns into a fee charged back to your unit.

If you’ve already left town, that’s fine. A property manager or a lockbox can let us in, and coordinating that is our job. For managers and small landlords resetting units between leases, tell us the unit and the date and we handle it without anybody standing over us.

We figure out where each piece belongs by what it is, its condition and the job. Usable furniture may be offered for donation, and the donation center decides what it accepts.

If you’re giving some things away yourself before you go, that’s yours to decide. We take what’s left.

A working appliance is sometimes repaired and passed on to a family who needs one, depending on the unit. A dead mini-fridge goes through the appropriate appliance and refrigerant recycling channel, and what can’t be reused or recycled is disposed of properly.
