Furniture
Crib removal across the Golden Isles.
Cribs, changing tables, the whole nursery. We bring the tools, break it down, and carry it out.
Part of our Furniture Removal service
A crib is small. The job rarely is. By footprint, a crib takes up less floor than a loveseat — but almost no crib leaves a house in one piece. They were assembled in the room, screwed and bolted together panel by panel, and they have to come apart the same way to get back out the door.
That’s the part people don’t expect. Drop-side rails, mattress platforms that lower on hardware, slats fastened with dozens of small bolts and Allen-key fittings — a crib is mostly fasteners holding flat panels in tension. We bring the drivers and hex keys, find the assembly logic, and take it down to panels you can carry under one arm. The room it’s in is usually the smallest in the house, which means working in a tight space around whatever else is still there.
Cribs also almost never travel alone. The call is usually “crib removal,” but what’s actually waiting is a whole nursery — the crib, the changing table, the glider, a small dresser, maybe a bassinet in the closet. We come ready for the room, not the line item, because the line item is rarely the real job.

How we work
How we actually handle it.
The work in a crib job is disassembly, not weight. Most cribs come apart at the corner brackets — front panel, back panel, two end panels, and a mattress platform that drops on its own hardware. We bring the drivers and hex keys and take it down to flat panels in the room. Convertible cribs that were already turned into a toddler or daybed have extra rails and conversion brackets, which just means more hardware to back out, not a harder carry.
The nursery is almost always part of it. Once the crib is down, the changing table comes next - and a changing table is really a small dresser with a topper, so it walks out the way a dresser does. Add the glider, a low dresser, and a bassinet from the closet, and a single-item call turns into clearing one room top to bottom. We’d rather know that up front so we plan the trip for the room instead of the one piece you mentioned.
We work carefully in nursery-size rooms — they’re tight, the doorways are narrow, and there’s usually something fragile still on a shelf. We protect the floor, break the crib down where it stands, and carry it out as panels so nothing scrapes a wall on the way to the truck.
Pricing
How pricing works.
A crib reads like it should be cheap because it’s small, and the carry is light — but the price tracks the disassembly more than the weight. Backing out dozens of fasteners and breaking a crib down to panels is hands-on time, and that time is the job. A single crib in a ground-floor room is the lightest version of this; a convertible crib still bolted in toddler-bed mode takes longer.
Most crib calls are really nursery calls, so the honest way to price it is the whole room. Crib, changing table, glider, dresser, bassinet — cleared together in one trip almost always lands better than pricing each piece on its own. Tell us what’s actually in the room and we’ll give you a real number for the room, not a flat per-item rate that pretends a crib and a changing table are the same job.
