Out here the boat is usually part of something bigger. It’s behind the barn, at the edge of the marsh, or down by the old dock on a property somebody has finally decided to deal with. By the time we get the call, the trailer tires have sunk into the ground, the deck is soft, and the cockpit has been holding rain and leaves for years.

What we haul

The boats we take

These are the boats we actually see. They’re examples, not a limit — bigger boats get looked at on their own terms.

  • Fiberglass bowriders and runabouts
  • Aluminum jon boats and fishing boats
  • Pontoon boats, decking and furniture included
  • Jet skis and WaveRunners — often a pair on one trailer
  • Small sailboats and catamarans
  • Bass boats
  • Cabin cruisers, looked at one at a time
  • Boats with no trailer, a trailer on flat tires, or a trailer with no boat
  • The outboard, the gear and the crab traps that came with it

Darien

Boat removal around Darien

Darien is about thirty minutes from Brunswick, and we plan our days out here around that drive instead of treating it as an afterthought. A boat usually gets its own block of time, sometimes on the same trip as other work nearby, and the drive is in the price from the start rather than added at the end.

Most of our work in McIntosh County is rural: long driveways, dirt roads, and ground near the water that stays soft after rain. For a boat, that decides more about the job than its length does. Soft ground near the water, a culvert you don’t trust, a narrow gate — mention it if you know, or just send photos and we’ll work it out.

Marsh-side and riverfront property collects more than a boat over the years — an outboard that hasn’t turned over in a long time, a trailer, crab traps, old dock lumber. On marsh-side land along the Sapelo River, or a waterfront lot out in Crescent, we look at all of it as one job instead of pricing the boat and leaving the rest.

Sometimes the boat is one piece of a family finally dealing with a whole property — the house, the barn and the water side. That kind of job can run in passes over a couple of weeks, at the family’s pace, and the boat can go whenever it fits.

What we handle

What we work out for you

We work out the access from your photos — the gate, soft ground, a septic field, low limbs over the route — and plan whether the boat leaves whole or in pieces before we’re standing in your yard.

A boat takes more planning than most pickups, so a few days’ notice helps us plan.

Send us a few photos and tell us what you need removed. We’ll take it from there.

After the pickup

Where it goes

Fiberglass is the hard part. Disposing of a fiberglass boat is far more complex than landfilling a hull, and we’ve developed legitimate downstream processes for dismantled fiberglass.

Metal we can separate when it’s practical — an aluminum hull, pontoon tubes, the trailer frame — usually goes to scrap, often at SA Recycling in Brunswick.

Rotten wood and soaked composite go to disposal.

Old marine electronics — a fish finder, a radio — from McIntosh jobs go through an appropriate electronics recycling or disposal channel, such as Broadhurst, since the McIntosh County landfill doesn’t accept electronics.

Pricing

What changes the price

The boat and where it sits. Size and condition matter, and so does whether it leaves whole or in pieces — a hull that has soaked for years weighs nothing like the brochure said. Then the access: how far down the drive, how soft the ground, how close we can get equipment.

Boats are quoted one at a time from photos rather than off the truck-load table, and the drive out from Brunswick is part of that number from the start.

Firm price from your photos, confirmed before anything is loaded. The minimum for any pickup is $95.
