Closing or Refitting a Restaurant Kitchen in Darien?
Call or Text for the Next Restaurant Equipment Removal Opening in Darien
We clear commercial kitchens, from a single prep table to a closed restaurant’s whole back of house. A kitchen comes out in a different order than it went in — the countertop pieces first, then the line, then the heavy stainless that everything else was built around — and we work that order out from your photos before the truck ever heads north from Brunswick.
Darien
Restaurant equipment removal in Darien
For a kitchen on Broad Street in Downtown Darien, the first thing we settle is the path: where the truck can wait, which door the stainless leaves by, and how a three-compartment sink gets from the dish pit to the street.
In the older parts of town, narrower streets and less room to pull a truck close make the walk-out the thing we plan hardest. Floor mats, a step down at the back, a tight turn past the cooler — that’s where the hours go, far more than the lifting. Each piece has to fit through a back door that was sized for deliveries, not for leaving.
Timing matters as much as muscle. A kitchen that’s still serving needs the work done around service, after close where that fits; one that’s already shut needs to be empty before the landlord’s date. We plan the Darien day around whichever it is, and when we give you a time, we’re there.

What we handle
What we work out with you
We plan the sequence, the crew and the truck or trailer from your photos, so each heavy piece moves once, in the right order. Equipment still tied into the building gets talked through at the estimate. When licensed electrical or plumbing work is needed, that’s normally handled by you or a licensed pro. Show us what you have and where it is, and we’ll help figure out what’s needed and work around it.
Send us a few photos and tell us what you need removed. We’ll take it from there.
After the pickup
Where it goes
Stainless and steel usually go to scrap at SA Recycling in Brunswick.
Ice machines and refrigerated units go to SA Recycling too, where the refrigerant is recovered as part of their process.
Equipment that still works may be worth more to another kitchen than to the scrap pile, and we’ll make a reasonable effort; whoever receives it decides.
Register screens and back-office electronics from a McIntosh closeout go to a place like Broadhurst, since the county landfill doesn’t take electronics.
Pricing
What changes the price
A single slicer or one prep table is priced like any other small pickup. A whole kitchen is quoted as a project from photos: how much stainless there is, how far it travels to the truck, and whether the work has to fit around service hours.
A full closeout can also be priced in stages — kitchen first, dining room and storage after — if that suits your lease or your sale.
Firm price from your photos, confirmed before anything is loaded. The minimum for any pickup is $95.
