Closing or Refitting a Restaurant Kitchen on St. Simons Island?
Same-Day Restaurant Equipment Removal on St. Simons Often Available — Call or Text
Yes, we take restaurant equipment, from a single steam table to every piece of stainless in the building. A kitchen comes out in a different order than it went in: the smalls first so there’s room to work, then the line, then the big pieces the room was built around.
Loads go off the island to Brunswick, where most of the metal is headed anyway.
St. Simons Island
Kitchen work on the island
On the Demere corridor the hard part is rarely the equipment. It’s where a truck can stop beside a busy road, how long it can sit there, and how quickly a three-compartment sink gets from the back door to the tailgate without blocking the neighboring businesses. We plan that stretch first, including the safe spot to stage pieces between door and truck.
Down by the Village and the pier, parking is the whole problem for most of the year. A restaurant there gets the get-in, work fast, get-out approach: the line broken into manageable pieces inside, the truck in place only as long as it has to be, and nothing left on the sidewalk while visitors walk past.
The kitchen could be in a restaurant space mid-island at Redfern Village or in one of the shops at Retreat Village. The questions are the same in both: the back door, the lot, and whether you’re still serving.
Every piece crosses the causeway, and summer traffic stretches both ends of the day. That’s in the quote from the start, and it’s why a full kitchen tends to be scheduled for the hours when the road and the restaurant are both quiet.

What we handle
What we handle
The route out decides the crew: rubber mats, a narrow line, a step down to the alley, a grease bin or dumpster parked right where the truck wants to be. Every big piece has to fit through a back door that was sized for deliveries, not for leaving, so we read all of that from your photos before anyone lifts.
When licensed electrical or plumbing work is needed, that’s normally handled by you or a licensed pro. Show us what you have and where it is, and we’ll help figure out what’s needed and work around it. For a hood or the fryers, send us a few photos and tell us where it is, and we’ll tell you what it takes.
Send us a few photos and tell us what you need removed. We’ll take it from there.
Pricing
What changes the price
A single mixer or prep table is priced like any other load. A full kitchen is quoted as a project: how much stainless there is, how far the back door is from where the truck can safely sit, and whether the work has to fit around service hours or a lease date. We size the truck or trailer to what’s coming out.
Firm price from your photos, confirmed before anything is loaded. The minimum for any pickup is $95. We don’t charge extra for same-day pickup when we have an open time slot.
After the pickup
Where it goes
We figure out the right destination for each piece. The stainless and steel usually go to scrap, often at SA Recycling in Brunswick.
Ice machines and refrigerated units go through the appropriate refrigerant recycling channel, often SA Recycling too, where the refrigerant is recovered as part of their process.
Equipment that still works may be worth more to another kitchen than to the scrap pile, and we make a reasonable effort there; whoever receives it decides, so it’s never a promise.
