Who Clears Out a Shed Full of Boat Parts in Shellman Bluff?

Yes, the whole pile. Anybody who has kept boats on this coast long enough ends up with a second collection: the parts. A console off a hull that’s long gone, a hardtop somebody swapped out, a bucket of chain, a cradle that used to hold something. It never fits anywhere neat, so it fills the shed, the garage and the space beside the house until somebody calls.
Shellman Bluff
Boat parts in fishing country
This end of McIntosh County runs on boats, docks and fishing gear, and the sheds and garages show it. The parts pile might be in a shed behind a house out at White Chimney, or in a garage over at Pine Harbor where boats, docks and tidal water are part of the everyday. Wherever it is, it usually holds more than one boat’s worth of history.
Folks down here know what time the tide turns without looking at a phone, and they don’t need anybody explaining the county to them. We aren’t trying to convince anybody that we know McIntosh County. We actually do. What the job needs is a crew that loads with care and sorts the pile as it goes on the truck, not one big heap.
When the gear belonged to somebody who’s gone, and the boat left years before the parts did, a good anchor, an old compass or a logbook gets set aside for the family to decide on, not decided by the crew.

After the pickup
What happens to the parts
It all leaves on our truck, and the material decides where each piece goes.
Anchors, chain, aluminum frames and hardware usually go to scrap recycling, usually at SA Recycling in Brunswick.
Old electronics usually go to Broadhurst, which takes certain broken electronics, because the McIntosh County landfill doesn’t accept them.
Fiberglass is the hard part. Disposing of a T-top or a hardtop is far more complex than landfilling it, and we’ve developed legitimate downstream processes for dismantled fiberglass.
A cooler or a rack that still has life in it may go to an organization we work with, such as HART in McIntosh County, which decides what it accepts. Rotten rope, split cushions and vinyl go to disposal.
What we handle
What we plan from your photos
The total pile matters less than its heaviest and most awkward pieces. Anchors and chain are small and dense; a hardtop or a console is mostly air but huge. Those set the crew and the carry, and a big fiberglass piece that won’t clear the shed door gets cut down, worked out before we come.
Old batteries in there? Tell us what kind of battery you have, or send a photo. Fuel tanks or anything else special, we’ll sort it out with you when we quote.
Send us a few photos and tell us what you need removed. We’ll take it from there.
Pricing
What changes the price
A pile of boat parts is priced by how much of the truck it fills, plus the carry out to the truck and any cutting-down of big fiberglass pieces.
If the boat, the motor or the trailer is part of the same collection, it goes on the same job and the same quote. The drive down is counted in that price from the start.
Firm price from your photos, confirmed before anything is loaded. The minimum for any pickup is $95.
