Need an Old or Storm-Damaged Fence Taken Out on St. Simons?
Same-Day Fence Removal on St. Simons Island Often Available — Call or Text
Can we take your fence out? Yes. Wood comes apart boards first, then rails, then posts; vinyl separates at the joiners; chain link comes down in runs; aluminum and iron get cut at the connections. A full perimeter or a single broken section, it all leaves on our truck.
Gates and their hardware go with it, and if a new fence is going in, we’ll work alongside whoever is building it.
What we handle
What we take care of
We read the fence from your photos and a rough length: the material, how the posts went in, and how much is still standing versus already on the ground. Driven posts in sandy coastal soil usually come out faster than people expect.
Posts set in concrete? Send us a few photos and tell us where it is, and we’ll tell you what it takes.
A gate opener or landscape lights wired along the fence? When licensed electrical or plumbing work is needed, that’s normally handled by you or a licensed pro. Show us what you have and where it is, and we’ll help figure out what’s needed and work around it.
Send us a few photos and tell us what you need removed. We’ll take it from there.
St. Simons Island
Fence work on the island
Island fences take the wind first. After a storm or a rough stretch of weather, the work on St. Simons tilts toward debris and urgent cleanup, and fence sections lying half across a yard are a big share of it. Through those weeks we keep you posted and work in a sensible order instead of promising a time we can’t hold. If a limb is still resting on the run, it comes off before the fence does.
A fence is the one job that always touches somebody else’s yard. On an island where people notice how a crew carries itself and whether the ground is left clean, we pull panels without trampling the far side, pick up the screws and splinters along the line, and leave both yards tidy.
Down at the south end, where the streets are narrow and there’s rarely a good place to leave a truck for long, we load quickly and get out, whether the fence is in German Village or a few streets over.
On the north end it runs the other way. A long privacy fence in Harrington can mean more fence, more yard between the line and the truck, and softer ground to cross while carrying it.

Pricing
What changes the price
Length, material and condition. A short vinyl run is the light end; a long stretch of weathered wood privacy fence, or sections tangled together after a storm, takes longer. How the posts were set matters, and so does how far the line runs from where the truck can sit.
Firm price from your photos, confirmed before anything is loaded. The minimum for any pickup is $95. We don’t charge extra for same-day pickup when we have an open time slot.
After the pickup
Where the fence goes
We decide where the fence goes by what it’s made of and what shape it’s in, and it comes straight off the island to Brunswick.
Chain link, aluminum, wrought iron and gate hardware are metal, and metal usually ends up as scrap, often at SA Recycling in Brunswick.
A solid gate or a stack of good pickets can occasionally be offered to one of the organizations we work with, and they decide what they accept. Rotted boards and cracked vinyl go to disposal.
