Need Light Demolition of a Shed or Deck on St. Simons?
Same-Day Light Demolition on St. Simons Island Often Available — Call or Text
Can we take it down? Yes. Light demolition is the ground between hauling junk and building construction: a shed going soft, a deck before the new one goes in, a fence the last storm finished, a pergola the salt air got to, a playset nobody climbs anymore, and inside the house the paneling, drop ceilings, non-load-bearing partitions and built-ins that come out before a remodel. It comes apart and leaves on the same visit.
If a builder quoted you structural-grade demolition for a shed and a fence, this is usually the better fit.

St. Simons Island
Taking structures down on St. Simons
St. Simons isn’t one place, and a teardown changes with the part of the island it’s on. A shed behind a beach rental sits on a tight street where the smaller truck is the right call. A carport on a big lot farther north is about how far the pieces travel and how soft the ground is between the structure and the trailer.
On the larger gated properties we settle the details before the truck rolls: the distance from the structure to where our trailer can park, getting cleared through the gate, and a spot for the equipment that won’t be in anyone’s way while we work.
A storage shed in a back yard in Fifty Oaks or a tired deck over in Butler Plantation comes down the same way: contents out first, then roof, walls, framing and floor, top down in the reverse of how it went up.
Island sheds hold years of things, and some of what’s inside deserves a second look. Anything that might carry value or meaning gets pulled aside for you to decide on before the walls come down.

What we handle
How a teardown works
Almost nobody empties the shed first, and that’s fine: clearing it is part of the job, and on a packed shed that stage can take as long as the demolition. If it’s full, the photos will show us.
We take the structure apart with hand and power tools, cut the pieces to lengths that load, sweep up, and leave the property around it intact — the siding a deck was attached to, the neighbor’s side of the fence.
We stick to light, non-structural work. Anything structural, like a load-bearing wall, framing or an addition? Send photos, and we’ll tell you what it takes and who needs to be involved. If a permit is needed, we’ll sort it out with you when we quote.
A circuit feeding the workshop, or a water line to an outdoor sink? When licensed electrical or plumbing work is needed, that’s normally handled by you or a licensed pro. Show us what you have and where it is, and we’ll help figure out what’s needed and work around it.
A slab or footings underneath? Send us a few photos and tell us where it is, and we’ll tell you what it takes.
Send us a few photos and tell us what you need removed. We’ll take it from there.
Pricing
What changes the price
Size, how it was built, its condition and the access, plus how much debris it turns into. A small shed or a short fence on open ground is the light end; a big outbuilding, a deck with a porch on it or a gazebo on footings is more work. Construction matters as much as size: a deck held with screws comes apart faster than one bolted and glued.
Firm price from your photos, confirmed before anything is loaded. The minimum for any pickup is $95. We don’t charge extra for same-day pickup when we have an open time slot.
After the pickup
Where it all goes
We decide where each part of the structure goes from the material and its condition, and the load comes straight off the island to Brunswick.
Metal sheds, chain link, roofing panels and hardware usually go to scrap, often at SA Recycling in Brunswick.
Reusable material goes to reuse or recycling when that’s practical, never promised, and rotted wood and broken siding go to disposal. Whatever was stored inside follows its own route.
