Dead Riding Mower to Get Off a St. Simons Property?

Same-Day Riding Mower Removal on St. Simons Often Available — Call or Text

Yes, we haul them. The usual story is a mower that quit, sat under a tarp for a year or two, and now needs to leave. Smaller lawn tractors fit in the truck bed; larger zero-turns and commercial-grade machines sometimes need a trailer.

Trailers, driveways and soft ground

When a trailer comes along, where it sits is part of the job. On the tighter streets near the beach, parking and trailer positioning get worked out before anything rolls, so the street stays open and no neighbor is boxed in for the afternoon.

Up the north end some lots are soft underfoot, and a mower with a seized transaxle won’t roll across a wet lawn. We budget more time and bring more hands there, and a machine that won’t move is winched or walked up the ramps rather than forced.

The mower might be in a garage at St. Simons Island Club or in an outbuilding at Hampton Plantation.

Where there’s a gate, we line up the code or an access window with you ahead of time. A trailer load crosses the causeway like everything else we haul, and that drive is in the price from the start.

What we handle

What we check first

A deck that has sat under a tarp for a couple of years may still have a blade in it, so we look underneath before anybody lifts the machine.

Some mowers are worth more parted out than scrapped. We look on site at whether the engine still turns, the deck is usable and the transaxle is free.

Gas in the tank or a battery on it? Mention it with your photos and we’ll take care of it.

Send us a few photos and tell us what you need removed. We’ll take it from there.

Pricing

What changes the price

Size, weight, condition and access. A small lawn tractor that still runs is the light end; a big zero-turn that hasn’t moved in years and has to be coaxed across a soft yard is the heavy end. A riding mower with its attachments and a push mower are priced as one load.

Firm price from your photos, confirmed before anything is loaded. The minimum for any pickup is $95. We don’t charge extra for same-day pickup when we have an open time slot.

After the pickup

Where it goes

We figure out the best destination for each machine. When the engine, deck or transaxle has value, the parts are routed through the right channel; the rest of the metal usually goes to scrap, often at SA Recycling in Brunswick.

Whatever is loaded comes straight off the island to Brunswick.
