Riding mower removal across the Golden Isles.
Lawn tractors, zero-turns, garden tractors. Drained, battery pulled, hauled out. Sometimes parted out instead.
Riding mowers come up more often than people expect. The pattern is usually the same: the mower stopped running, sat under a tarp for a year or two, and now needs to leave. Sometimes it’s a clean haul; sometimes it’s a years-of-yard-art-out-of-the-yard.
The work starts with making the mower safe to move and dispose of. Fuel gets drained — gasoline doesn’t go in the truck. Oil gets drained for the same reason. Battery comes out separately because lead-acid batteries route through their own recycling channel rather than the mower’s scrap-metal stream.
Some mowers are worth more parted than landfilled. We assess on site — engines that still turn, decks in usable condition, transaxles that haven’t seized. When parts have value, we route them through the right channel rather than disposing of the whole machine.
What we haul
Specifically, what we take for riding mower removal.
- Lawn tractors (riding mowers with separate decks)
- Zero-turn mowers
- Garden tractors (full-size with attachments)
- Stand-on mowers (commercial)
- Riding mower attachments (baggers, plows, carts)
- Push mowers and self-propelled mowers (often paired)
How we work
How we actually handle it.
Riding mower removal starts with draining fuel and pulling the battery. Fuel goes to a fuel-collection container; we don’t put live gasoline in the truck. Oil drains the same way. Battery comes out and routes to lead-acid battery recycling separately from the mower body.
The mower itself moves on a trailer or in the truck depending on the unit. Smaller lawn tractors fit in a standard truck bed; larger zero-turns and commercial-grade units sometimes need a trailer for the haul.
Some mowers — especially commercial-grade or recent residential — get parted out instead of landfilled. We assess on site whether parts have value. The customer doesn’t see a discount for parted units (the labor is the same), but the disposal is more responsible.
Pricing
How pricing works.
Riding mower pricing scales with size, weight, condition, and access. A small lawn tractor that runs is the lightest version. A large commercial-grade zero-turn that hasn’t moved in years and needs to be wheeled out manually is heavier work. Multi-mower jobs (mower plus attachments plus push mower) get priced as a load.

The honest exceptions
What we won’t take — for this item.
A short, honest list of edge cases we either won’t take or want to discuss before we show up. When in doubt, call us — we’ll walk through it before scheduling.
- Live fuel in the mower — drain ahead or we drain on site, but we don’t haul live gasoline
- Lead-acid batteries in the mower body — these route separately to recycling
