The short version

20 Yard Dumpster Rental at a glance.

What it is
A 20 cubic yard roll-off dumpster — the most versatile size Golden Isles Junk Removal runs, roughly six pickup-truck loads. The default recommendation for larger jobs that aren’t a full gut renovation.
What’s included
  • Delivery and pickup across the full Golden Isles service area
  • A 30 yard’s length without the height, keeping loading manageable
  • Handles most residential roofing tear-offs and multi-room renovations
  • Boards set to protect the driveway surface
  • Flexible rental length with extensions available
How pricing works
Quoted per job — driven by material type and weight, rental length, placement, and location. No flat figure posted; call, text, or use the quote form.

The 20 yard is the workhorse. It holds roughly six pickup-truck loads, with a typical footprint around 22 feet long and 8 feet wide and walls near 4.5 feet — the length of a 30 but not the height, which keeps loading manageable while giving you real capacity. When someone isn’t sure what size they need for a larger job, this is usually the right answer.

It’s the size for jobs that have clearly outgrown the smaller boxes but aren’t a full-scale gut renovation: a multi-room remodel, a whole-house flooring replacement, a large decluttering or move-out, a big garage-plus-attic clear. It also handles most residential roofing tear-offs, where the walls stay low enough to load shingles without lifting them overhead — though roofing is heavy, so we’ll talk through the weight on the call.

On weight, the same physics apply: the 20 yard’s volume is best used by bulky, light-to-medium debris. If the job is dense and heavy — a lot of concrete, dirt, or tile — the 10 yard is still the weight-limited call, and you’d run smaller loads rather than one big box you can’t fill to the top.

If you take one default from our four sizes, it’s this one: the 20 yard fits more jobs than any other size we run. Delivery, prohibited materials, and street-placement permits are the same across sizes and are covered on the main dumpster rental page.

Who calls us

Who we run this work for.

Homeowners on a large project — a multi-room renovation, a whole-house flooring or carpet replacement, a big remodel that throws off drywall, cabinetry, flooring, and fixtures together. The 20 yard holds a large mixed load without a second haul.

Roofers and roofing homeowners on a residential tear-off. The 20 yard is a common roofing size; the low-enough walls make loading shingles workable, and we’ll size the job to the weight so the load stays legal and haulable.

Move-out, estate, and large cleanout jobs where the volume is substantial and bulky — furniture, boxes, and household goods emptying room by room over days. When you’d rather the crew load and clear it in one visit instead, our full-service cleanout is the other option.

Anyone unsure of the size for a bigger job — the 20 yard is the safe, versatile default we point most larger jobs toward.

How we do it

From the call to the haul.

Call, text, or send the quote form with the job, the material mix, and where you want the container. For a roofing tear-off or a heavy component, tell us — the 20 yard handles a lot, but weight still shapes the quote and occasionally the size call.

We deliver, set the roll-off on boards to protect the surface, and leave it for you to load on your schedule. Keep the load below the top rail and the prohibited items out. One call when it’s full or the job’s done brings the truck back to haul it.

The full delivery process, prohibited-materials list, and permit guidance live on the main dumpster rental page; this page is about whether the 20 yard is the right size for your job.

What’s in scope

What we haul, and what we won’t.

What we haul in this category

  • Multi-room renovation and remodel debris
  • Whole-house flooring, carpet, and underlayment
  • Residential roofing tear-off (weight-managed on the quote)
  • Large cleanouts, move-outs, and estate volume
  • Big garage, attic, and basement clears (bulky, light)
  • Furniture, boxes, and mixed household junk at scale
  • Yard and storm debris — branches, brush, fencing, deck boards
  • Mixed non-hazardous construction and demolition debris

What we won’t take

  • Hazardous waste, chemicals, solvents, paint, oil, and fuel
  • Asbestos and asbestos-containing material
  • Tires and batteries
  • Refrigerant-containing appliances unless handled separately
  • Medical waste

Pricing

How pricing works on these jobs.

The 20 yard is quoted per job, not off a posted rate. The number depends on the material and its weight, how long you keep the container, placement, and where you are in the service area. A large but light cleanout and a roofing tear-off can both use a 20 yard and still price differently because of weight. Give us the details and we’ll quote it. Call or text (912) 222-1677 or use the quote form.
