Pricing
How pricing works.
What book and paper removal costs here. We price by the tier your items fill, starting at $95–$150 for a 1/8 truck; a single item is quoted from a photo so we can confirm the tier before anything is loaded. The number you agree to is the number you pay, and it includes carry-out, the disposal fee and cleanup.
Paper is heavy for its size, so weight and the carry matter as much as space here. A few boxes from a spare room is the light end. An attic of books coming down a pull-down ladder, or a room stacked with years of newspapers, takes more trips and more time, and we price that from your photos before anything moves. The minimum for any pickup is $95.

Part of our Garage Cleanouts service
Yes, we take books, magazines and paper — a few boxes or a whole library’s worth. Paper is the item people underestimate most. A box of hardbacks is heavy in a way a box of clothes never is, and a closet stacked floor to ceiling with magazines can weigh more than the furniture in the room. So the carry is the job: the attic ladder, the narrow stairs, the many trips. Boxes that are falling apart get re-boxed or bagged on the spot so nothing spills on the stairs.
Then there’s what paper does on this coast. Books and newspapers kept in a garage, a shed or an attic through humid summers go soft, swell, smell of mildew and sometimes stick together in the box. That’s fine. We take them as they are.
And mixed in with the books there’s almost always something else: a folder of papers, old letters, a photo tucked in as a bookmark, a deed or a will in a box nobody labeled.

How we work
Books and Papers Out of Older Brunswick Houses and Offices
Personal papers get set aside, not tossed in with the load. When the crew comes across something that looks personal or important — letters, photos, bank statements, titles, a folder with someone’s name on it — it gets set aside and brought to you, and you decide what happens to it. If you already know where the papers are, tell us when you send photos and we’ll work around them.
For the rest, the destination depends on what it is and what shape it’s in. Clean books in good condition may be worth offering to an organization we work with, like Habitat for Humanity ReStore, Goodwill or the Salvation Army; they decide what they accept, and condition matters. Mildewed books, old newspapers and loose paper go where they have to.
Paper collects in older houses. An upstairs room in a home in the Habersham Street area might hold a lifetime of books on shelves and in boxes, and a narrow staircase is how every one of them came in. Offices collect it too — a back room of file boxes and binders at an office along the Gloucester Street corridor. Both come down to the same thing: a lot of weight in small boxes, and the papers that matter kept separate for you. Send a few photos and we’ll price it for the whole Brunswick area.
