Pricing
How pricing works.
What kayak and canoe removal costs here. We price by the tier your items fill, starting at $95–$150 for a 1/8 truck; a single item is quoted from a photo so we can confirm the tier before anything is loaded. The number you agree to is the number you pay, and it includes carry-out, the disposal fee and cleanup.
One kayak is a small share of a load, and a few of them nest together better than you’d think. What moves the number is how many there are, how far the carry is, and whether they’re up on rafters, under a raised house or out on a dock. The paddles, racks and life jackets ride along without changing much, and the rest of a garage can go on the same trip. The minimum for any pickup is $95.

Part of our Garage Cleanouts service
Yes, we take them — one kayak or a whole stack. Paddle craft are about the easiest boats there are to own and about the hardest to get rid of. A faded sit-on-top is hard to sell, a fourteen-foot canoe is a lot to leave at the curb, and it only fits in the back of a truck. So it stays on the rack, then under the house, then behind the shed.
What makes these a job isn’t weight, it’s length. A kayak is light enough to pick up and long enough to catch every corner between where it’s stored and the driveway — a garage full of other things, a side gate, the stairs down from a raised house. We carry them out end-first with a second person on the tail, so nothing gets scraped on the way.
Down here the sun does most of the damage. Plastic hulls go chalky and brittle, seats crack, foam blocks crumble and bungees rot on the deck lines. A canoe left upside down on sawhorses by the marsh grows its own little colony underneath. None of that changes much for us; it just tells you why it’s time.

How we work
Old Kayaks and Canoes on Brunswick’s Marsh Side
Most paddle craft come out by hand. A canoe hung from rafters or a kayak on a high wall rack gets lowered by two people, not dropped, and a stack under a deck is worked out one hull at a time. If the boats are on a small trailer that still rolls, the trailer can go too.
Some aren’t so tidy — one that sank at the dock and got dragged up the bank, a canoe half-buried in vines, a pile that’s been sitting at the back of a lot for years. Every boat is different. Send us some photos and the location, and we’ll take a look and tell you what it takes. If anything special is needed, we’ll sort it out with you when we quote.
Afterward, the material decides where things go. Aluminum canoes, racks and trailers usually go to scrap recycling, often at SA Recycling in Brunswick. Fiberglass is far more complex than landfilling a hull, and we’ve developed legitimate downstream processes for dismantled fiberglass. A kayak or paddleboard that still floats and isn’t cracked may be worth offering to organizations we work with, which decide what they accept; condition matters.
On the marsh side of Brunswick, a kayak is just part of the house. A home in Beverly Shores backs up to the marsh and the waterways, and out at Fancy Bluff the properties are rural and on the water, with room for a canoe to sit on sawhorses for a decade. That’s where old paddle craft end up: under a raised deck, along the side of the house, tied off by the path down to the water. Getting them out is all about that path — through the yard, around the shed, up from the bank. Send a photo of the boats and the way back to the driveway, and we’ll price it for anywhere in Brunswick.
