Who Takes a Lift Chair That’s No Longer Needed in Brunswick?

Pricing
How pricing works.
What lift chair removal costs here. We price by the tier your items fill, starting at $95–$150 for a 1/8 truck; a single item is quoted from a photo so we can confirm the tier before anything is loaded. The number you agree to is the number you pay, and it includes carry-out, the disposal fee and cleanup.
One lift chair is a small share of a truck. Its weight and whether there are stairs on the way out decide the rest, and adding a hospital bed or the rest of the room usually costs less than separate trips would. The minimum for any pickup is $95.

Part of our Furniture Removal service
A lift chair looks like a recliner, and it is one — with a heavy motor and a steel lifting frame underneath that tips the whole seat forward to help someone stand. That frame is why it weighs so much more than the recliner beside it, and why it doesn’t want to go around a tight corner the way a lighter chair would.
They tend to leave a house at a tender moment. Someone recovered and doesn’t need it. Someone moved to assisted living. Someone passed, and the chair is still sitting in the spot where they spent their afternoons. Families usually aren’t looking for a long conversation about it — just for the chair to be gone, carefully, without fuss.
So that’s how we do it. A photo, a firm price, and a crew that knows what a lift chair is before it walks in.

- Battery backups, remotes and power cords with the chair
- Hospital beds, walkers and wheelchairs from the same home
- Ordinary recliners and the rest of the living room
How we work
Getting a Lift Chair Through a Brunswick Doorway
If the chair still works, we lower it to sitting position first, then unplug it and coil the cord. The motor, the controller and any battery backup stay in the chair and go out as one unit — we don’t take them apart. On most lift chairs the back lifts off the base, which makes stairs and narrow doorways far easier, and we do that in the room.
A lift chair in good working order may be useful to someone else, and where that’s realistic we try for it, but the receiving organization makes the call. Worn or broken chairs go to disposal.
If there’s other equipment in the house — a hospital bed in the back bedroom, a shower bench, a walker — it can all go in one visit.
Whether the chair is in a living room in Glynnvilla or up a flight of stairs in an established home in the Lanier Boulevard area, it goes out the same careful way: lowered to sitting, unplugged, and the back lifted off the base so it clears a narrow door or a staircase. The motor and any battery backup stay in the chair. A hospital bed, a walker or a shower bench in the same home can go on the same visit, with no long conversation needed. One text with a photo is how it starts for families all around Brunswick.
