The short version

Restaurant Cleanouts at a glance.

What it is
Emptying a whole restaurant building -- dining room, bar, kitchen, dry storage, office and back lot -- for a closing, a renovation, a concept change or a new tenant, planned back from the handover date.
What’s included
  • Dining room and bar furniture
  • Kitchen stainless and refrigerated units
  • Dry storage, smallwares and the back office
  • Back-lot junk, signage and outdoor seating
  • Keys or lockbox coordinated when you are not on site
  • The building swept when the crew leaves
How pricing works
Priced on volume, weight, access and time on site, with one firm price from photos or a short walkthrough confirmed before anything is loaded. All major credit cards, checks, Venmo and Cash App, handled through our office.

Yes, we clean out restaurants, start to finish. A restaurant is a building with five or six different jobs inside it, and a good cleanout treats it that way. The dining room is furniture. The bar is shelving, stools and coolers. The kitchen is heavy stainless. Dry storage is racks and boxes. The office is a desk, a safe maybe, and years of paperwork. Out back there’s usually a pile of broken chairs, old signage and pallets nobody got around to.

What ties it together is the date. A restaurant cleanout almost always has one — the lease ends, the new tenant gets the keys, the contractor starts demo, the bank wants it empty. So the job gets planned backward from that date, room by room, with the heavy kitchen work timed so the building is empty and swept when it needs to be.

It also changes depending on who’s calling. An owner closing up knows where everything is and what’s worth saving. A new tenant or a landlord who inherited a closed restaurant often doesn’t, and the job starts with figuring out what’s in there.

Who calls us

Who we run this work for.

Owners closing a restaurant. The lease is up or the numbers didn’t work, and everything has to go except what you’re keeping, selling or moving to the next place. Whatever is staying gets marked or set aside, and the rest is ours.

Owners renovating or changing concepts. The old booths, the bar top, the old line and the decor come out so the contractor can start, and the timing is worked around the contractor’s first day.

New tenants who signed on a space that came with the last restaurant still in it. Old equipment, furniture, smallwares and storage you never asked for, cleared before your buildout begins.

Landlords and property managers with a restaurant a tenant walked away from. The job is getting the space back to a clean shell that can be shown, and you don’t have to be standing there for it.

How we do it

Planning a Brunswick Restaurant Cleanout Around the Lot

Send us photos of each room — dining room, bar, kitchen, storage, office, the back lot — and the doors you use for deliveries. A larger restaurant can get a short walkthrough when photos won’t tell the whole story. We give you one firm price, confirmed before anything is loaded, and that price stands unless you add to the job.

If you won’t be on site, we coordinate keys, a lockbox or a code with the owner or an authorized representative. If food or stock was left inside, or anything special is needed, we’ll sort it out with you when we quote.

On the day, the small things go first — smallwares, chairs, stools, boxed storage — so there’s floor to work on. Then the dining room and the bar furniture, then the kitchen, then the back lot. Gas lines, hard-wired equipment and plumbed connections are part of the walkthrough too. When licensed electrical or plumbing work is needed, that’s normally handled by you or a licensed pro. Show us what you have and where it is, and we’ll help figure out what’s needed and work around it, so the heavy kitchen pieces come out on the day they’re free. The building is swept when we leave.

Same-day pickup is often available in Brunswick, St. Simons Island and the Golden Isles — call or text for the next opening. A full restaurant with a handover date behind it gets scheduled back from that date.

Restaurants along Highway 17 South and out Blythe Island Highway usually sit on their own lots, with a back door by the dumpster corral and a parking area that has to stay open if the place next door is still serving. That shapes the day more than the building does: where the truck and trailer can sit, which door the kitchen comes out of, and whether the lot can be blocked for a few hours. Tell us what the lot looks like and the date the keys change hands, and we’ll build the job around both, for any restaurant across the Brunswick area.

What’s in scope

What we haul.

What we haul in this category

  • Booths, tables, chairs, bar stools and host stands
  • Bar furniture, back-bar shelving and decor
  • Ranges, prep tables, sinks and other kitchen stainless
  • Reach-ins, ice machines and other refrigerated units
  • Dry-storage racks, smallwares and boxed stock
  • The back office: desk, chairs, files and old electronics
  • Signage, menu boards and outdoor seating
  • The back-lot pile: pallets, broken furniture and general junk

Pricing

How pricing works on these jobs.

A restaurant cleanout is priced on volume, weight, access and time on site. A small cafe with a few tables and a light kitchen is the light end. A full-service restaurant with a long line of stainless, a bar, a crowded storage room and a back lot to clear is the heavy end. Working after hours or around a contractor is planned into the number up front.

You get one firm price before anything is loaded. It changes only if you add to the job, and anything added is talked through and agreed first. The minimum for any pickup is $95.

A restaurant pays the way any customer does — all major credit cards, checks, Venmo and Cash App, handled through our office rather than by the crew. Commercial account terms may be available for approved customers.

Where a restaurant’s contents end up

A restaurant leaves in a lot of different directions, and we figure that out by the item and its condition. Stainless and other metal usually goes to scrap recycling, often SA Recycling in Brunswick. Reach-ins, ice machines and anything else with refrigerant usually go to SA Recycling in Brunswick too, where the refrigerant is recovered — we haul it, we don’t recover refrigerant ourselves, and you don’t have to arrange anything for it.

Chairs, tables and smallwares in good shape may find a second life through the donation organizations we work with, such as the Salvation Army, Habitat for Humanity ReStore or Goodwill. They decide what they accept, and condition matters. Office electronics go to the appropriate electronics recycling or disposal channel, and the rest leaves with the general load.

When the last tenant left it full

Inheriting a closed restaurant is its own kind of job. Nobody knows which cooler still runs, what’s in the boxes in dry storage, or whether the office safe is empty. That’s fine. Send us what you can see, and we’ll price it from the photos or a short look in person. The person booking needs the right to dispose of what’s inside — the owner, the landlord or the manager with that authority — and the rest is ours to work out.
