Pulling Up Old Floors in Darien and Need the Flooring Gone?
Call or Text for the Next Flooring Removal Opening in Darien
Can we take the old floor? Yes, whatever it was made of. Broken tile and mortar, nailed hardwood, click-together laminate and LVP, sheet vinyl, water-ruined plywood or OSB subfloor sheets, padding, tar paper and the transition strips — all of it goes on the truck.
Darien
Flooring around Darien
Old flooring could be coming out of a home in Ridgeville (The Ridge) or out on Butler Island along Highway 17. A house that has been updated more than once can hold two or three floors in one stack — vinyl over tile over wood — and every layer goes.
Water is the other reason floors come up out here. When a storm drives rain under a door, or a pipe lets go in a house that has been sitting empty, laminate swells, hardwood cups and the subfloor below is often soft or rotted. Storm cleanup in McIntosh County stretches on for weeks after the wind passes, and soaked flooring is a heavy, wet load we plan the crew around.
Flooring is also a good example of why the material decides where a Darien load goes, not the county line. The McIntosh facility has real limits, so a renovation load is split by what’s in it: metal trim and fasteners head to scrap in Brunswick, and anything electronic found in the house goes where electronics are accepted.
What we handle
What we take care of
Tile is the heavy part: broken tile and mortar are heavy and they pile up fast. We size the crew and plan the carry from your photos, bringing more hands when a bathroom’s worth of tile rubble calls for them.
Older sheet vinyl and its mastic can contain asbestos; suspected asbestos-containing flooring goes to licensed abatement rather than a junk haul, and if you’re unsure what you have, we’ll talk it through with you before anyone disturbs it.
For anything else unusual, send us a few photos and tell us where it is, and we’ll tell you what it takes.

After the pickup
Where it goes
Metal transition strips, nails and fasteners that come with the load can go to scrap at SA Recycling in Brunswick.
Tile, mortar, backer board and rotted subfloor usually go to disposal; routing follows the material, and landfill is for what has no responsible use left.
Sound hardwood or unopened boxes of flooring are worth offering to organizations we work with, such as Habitat for Humanity ReStore. They decide what they accept, and condition matters.
Pricing
What changes the price
Area and material, plus access and stairs. Two floors of the same size can be very different loads: laminate is light and bulky, while tile and thinset are dense and slow to carry. A long rural drive or a carry from the back of the house adds time.
When the flooring is part of a bigger remodel or cleanout, the job can be quoted in stages, and we’re upfront about what is in each number.
Firm price from your photos, confirmed before anything is loaded. The minimum for any pickup is $95.
