Who Hauls Off Heavy Shop Equipment in Darien?
Call or Text for the Next Shop Equipment Removal Opening in Darien
We take shop equipment, from a benchtop grinder to a floor-standing drill press. Old shop machines were built to stay put, and in McIntosh County they’re often sitting in a barn or an outbuilding nobody has really opened up in years. Those machines are the part of the cleanout nobody else wants to touch — and they’re the part we came for.
Darien
Shop equipment removal around Darien
Out here the shop often isn’t in the garage at all. It’s in a barn or an outbuilding at the back of the acreage, collecting since before anyone remembers. That changes the job: the truck may have to stop well short of the door, and the machines travel the rest of the way by hand. We come ready for it — more hands when the iron is heavy, smaller equipment when the drive is too tight for the big truck.
A workshop out near Highway 99 in Bolden might hold a cabinet saw, a lathe and a wall of hand tools that belonged to whoever ran it for decades. Whatever’s in it, we take the machines apart where they were designed to come apart, which turns one impossible lift into several heavy ones.
Outbuildings can lose a lot in one storm. If wind or water got into the shop, the rusted tools, swollen benches and wet boxes can go along with the machines, on the same trip.

What we handle
What we work out for you
We plan the breakdown and the carry from your photos — fences and extension wings come off a saw, a motor comes off its stand — then dollies to the truck. If something is fastened down or wired in, send us a few photos and tell us where it is, and we’ll tell you what it takes. When licensed electrical or plumbing work is needed, that’s normally handled by you or a licensed pro. Show us what you have and where it is, and we’ll help figure out what’s needed and work around it.
If it’s a parent’s shop, anything that looks personal or important gets set aside for you, not decided by the crew, and the floor gets swept when the last machine is out.
Send us a few photos and tell us what you need removed. We’ll take it from there.
Pricing
What changes the price
A single compressor or benchtop tool is priced like any small pickup. A full shop is quoted as a project, because the cast-iron machines take the time — how many there are and how much breaking down each one needs.
Distance counts for more out here: a barn at the end of a long dirt drive, with soft ground between its door and the truck, adds carry time, and that’s in the price from the start.
Firm price from your photos, confirmed before anything is loaded. The minimum for any pickup is $95.
After the pickup
Where it goes
Iron and steel usually go to scrap at SA Recycling in Brunswick.
A machine that still runs may be worth more to another woodworker or metalworker than to the scrap pile, and where that makes sense we’ll try.
Usable hand tools and benches can be offered to an organization such as HART in McIntosh County, which decides what it takes.
Old battery chargers, shop radios and other electronics from a McIntosh shop go to a place like Broadhurst, since the county landfill doesn’t take electronics.
