Who Can Empty a Garage Workshop on St. Simons Island?
Same-Day Shop Equipment Removal on St. Simons Often Available — Call or Text
Yes, we take shop equipment, one machine or the whole room. Old shop machines were built to stay put: most went into the garage once, on a liftgate with a couple of friends, and haven’t moved since. That’s why they’re the part of a cleanout nobody else wants to touch.
Everything goes off the island to Brunswick, and we sort out where each piece belongs from there.
St. Simons Island
Workshops on the island
A home shop in one of the larger houses toward the north end or along Sea Island Road might sit in a detached garage or a bay at the far side of the house. Carries there are longer than anywhere else on the island and the ground can be soft, so we budget the time, bring more hands, and roll the heavy pieces on a planned path rather than across the lawn.
It might be a garage shop at a home out on Hampton Point at the north end, or a woodworking corner in a garage in Sea Palms. Photos of the machines and the door they have to pass through are all we need to plan the day.
A shop often belonged to someone who spent decades in it, and the drawers hold more than hardware. On estate work we go slowly: anything that looks personal or important — a notebook, a medal, a good hand plane — is set aside for the family rather than decided by the crew.
Cast iron is heavy on a summer causeway, too: the drive adds time at both ends, and it’s in your price from the start.
What we handle
How the machines come out
We take machines apart where they were designed to come apart — wings and fences off the saw, the motor off the stand, the table off the press, the bed off the lathe. That turns one impossible lift into several heavy ones, and heavy we can do.
When licensed electrical or plumbing work is needed, that’s normally handled by you or a licensed pro. Show us what you have and where it is, and we’ll help figure out what’s needed and work around it. For anything else unusual, send us a few photos and tell us where it is, and we’ll tell you what it takes.

After the pickup
Where it goes
We figure out the right destination machine by machine. Iron and steel typically go to scrap, often at SA Recycling in Brunswick.
A machine that still runs may be worth more to another woodworker or metalworker than to the scrap pile, and where that makes sense we try. Whoever takes it decides, so it’s never a promise.
Pricing
What changes the price
Weight is the job. A benchtop tool or a compressor prices like any small load; a full shop is quoted as a project, because the cast-iron machines take the time — how many there are, how much each needs taking down, and how far the back of the shop is from where the truck can park.
Firm price from your photos, confirmed before anything is loaded. The minimum for any pickup is $95. We don’t charge extra for same-day pickup when we have an open time slot.
