Old Heirloom Pieces to Move Out of a Jekyll Island Home?
Same-Day Antique Furniture Removal on Jekyll Often Available — Call or Text
Yes, we remove antique and heirloom furniture, and we treat it as its own kind of job. The pieces are old enough to be fragile and built solid enough to be heavy, so the carry has to respect both at once.
Jekyll Island
Older furniture, older houses
Work in the Historic District comes up less often than rental turnovers, but it tends to be the thoughtful kind when it does. Older structures, tighter coordination around preserved buildings, and owners or managers who want the job done carefully all shape how we plan it.
For a residence near the Jekyll Island Club, the plan is made with whoever manages the property: where the truck can stand, which door the piece goes out, and how the floors and trim are protected along the way.
We’d rather do the round trip properly than cut a corner somebody else has to clean up, and with antiques that’s literal. Old joinery loosens with age, veneer lifts, and a drawer that slides out on a stair is how a good piece gets hurt.
Once it’s wrapped and loaded, the piece leaves the island with us, so the time to decide is before it goes on the truck.
What we handle
How we move a fragile piece
We blanket-wrap, strap drawers and doors shut, and take the corners slow. Stone tops come off first, because on many washstands and dressers the top weighs as much as the entire frame underneath it.
We come ready for the room the piece is in, not just the piece: the stair, the turn at the landing, the door it came in by decades ago. A photo of the piece and one of the way out tell us most of it.
If something tucked in a drawer looks personal or valuable, it comes to you rather than being decided by the crew.
Send us a few photos and tell us what you need removed. We’ll take it from there.

After the pickup
Where old furniture goes
We figure out the right destination for a piece based on what it is and the shape it’s in.
Pieces that are still usable go toward donation or reuse where that’s possible. The organizations we work with decide what they accept, and condition matters.
Some old furniture really is finished, and that goes to proper disposal once it’s back across the bridge.

Pricing
What the price depends on
Antique pricing scales with weight, fragility, and access. No two of them carry the same, so there’s no flat rate: a pie safe on a ground floor and a marble-top wardrobe up a narrow stair are different jobs. The trip back across the bridge is in the number from the first estimate.
Firm price from your photos, confirmed before anything is loaded. The minimum for any pickup is $95. We don’t charge extra for same-day pickup when we have an open time slot.
