Closing or Remodeling a Kitchen or Store on St. Simons?

Same-Day Commercial Fridge Removal on St. Simons Often Available — Call or Text

Yes, we take them: reach-in coolers and freezers, glass-door merchandisers, deli and meat cases, refrigerated prep tables, and the chest freezer that kept the bait cold. A commercial unit is a household fridge built for abuse, and most of them were a tight fit through the back door the day they arrived.

St. Simons Island

Commercial kitchens and shops on the island

Down by the pier, congestion is the whole problem for much of the year. There’s rarely a good place to leave a truck for long, so a kitchen’s worth of coolers goes out in one efficient push instead of an afternoon spent occupying the block. That could be a restaurant in Pier Village (south end, restaurants, shops and the pier) swapping out its reach-ins before the season.

Mid-island, the Demere corridor mixes condos, businesses and steady traffic. Where a crew can stop, how long it can hold that space and how quickly a display case moves from the door to the truck become part of the work, so staging gets settled with you ahead of time, not in the parking lot. A deli case leaving a store in Retreat Village is planned the same way.

Commercial work is the occasional job on the island, and it nearly always comes with a date attached: a lease ending, a new tenant moving in, a remodel crew booked. Give us that date. Every load crosses the causeway, so summer traffic is planned around and the drive is built into the estimate from the beginning.

What we handle

How the units come out

Plenty of reach-ins sit on casters, which helps right up to the threshold or the step down to the loading area. Display cases are long and top-heavy, so they travel upright and strapped, and when a cabinet won’t clear a frame, its doors come off for the trip and the frame is left as it was.

If a unit is still plumbed or wired in, mention it with your photos. When licensed electrical or plumbing work is needed, that’s normally handled by you or a licensed pro. Show us what you have and where it is, and we’ll help figure out what’s needed and work around it.

When the refrigeration is only part of what’s leaving — ovens, shelving, the dining room — it can all go together in one planned job.

Send us a few photos and tell us what you need removed. We’ll take it from there.

Pricing

What sets the price

How many units, how big, and the route from the kitchen line to the truck. One under-counter unit from a ground-floor kitchen sits at the light end; a row of display cases, a three-door reach-in, or a back hallway with a turn in it takes more hands and more time. Where the truck can stop near the back door counts here as much as anywhere.

Firm price from your photos, confirmed before anything is loaded. The minimum for any pickup is $95. We don’t charge extra for same-day pickup when we have an open time slot.

After the pickup

Where the units go

We figure out the right destination for each unit. Anything carrying refrigerant goes through an appliance and refrigerant recycling channel, most often SA Recycling in Brunswick, where the regulated recovery is handled as part of their process.

The load comes straight off the island to Brunswick.

A cooler that still holds temperature is worth telling us about. We’ll make a reasonable effort to find it a second use first, but whoever receives it decides what they take, so that’s never a promise.
