Getting an elliptical out of an island home
The north end is quieter and more spread out, and on some properties the walk from the exercise room to the truck is the longest on the island. An elliptical base is a heavy carry even after the arms and console are off, so up there we budget the time and bring extra hands rather than rush the last stretch.

An elliptical takes some dismantling, so the floor it’s on and the staircase matter as much as the machine. A ground-floor unit is the light end; a commercial machine coming down a turning stair is the heavy end, and a long walk to the truck adds a little time that goes into the quote.
If the whole exercise room is going, it rides on the same trip and is priced as one load.
Firm price from your photos, confirmed before anything is loaded. The minimum for any pickup is $95. We don’t charge extra for same-day pickup when we have an open time slot.
After the pickup
Where an elliptical ends up
We figure out the right destination once we see what shape the machine is in. If it still works, it’s worth offering to somebody, and we’ll check whether an organization we work with can use it — they decide, and used fitness equipment is a hard donation.
If it doesn’t, the steel usually goes for scrap, often at SA Recycling in Brunswick, while the plastic shrouds and the console are disposal.
It all comes off the island with the rest of the load, straight to Brunswick.
