Need an Old Treadmill Carried Out of a St. Simons Island Home?
Same-Day Treadmill Removal on St. Simons Island Often Available — Call or Text
Can we take it? Yes. Most of the treadmills we’re asked about aren’t broken at all — it’s just a machine that quietly stopped being used and is now taking up a room. A second-floor bonus room over a turning staircase is a different job, and it is the most common place treadmills end up, so that is where the planning goes.
On most home models a few bolts let the console lie flat on the deck, and that’s what gets a six-foot machine through a bedroom door. After that it’s a carry, and on the island the house decides how that carry goes.

Treadmills in island houses
The same treadmill is a short job from a ground-floor den and a slow one from a room at the top of a turning stair, and the island has plenty of both. We read the house from your photos first, then send the hands and tools that house calls for instead of a fixed crew.
It might be a home gym in St. Simons Island Club or an upstairs room behind the gate in Hampton Plantation. Commercial-grade machines are heavier and don’t always fold the same way, and those get planned around the machine itself.
Where a gate stands between the road and the house, a code or an agreed arrival time is all it takes, and we settle that with you when we set the day so nobody waits at the entrance.
People here notice how a crew leaves a house. Stair corners and floors get covered before the deck moves, because on a staircase that is where floor protection stops being optional, and the room is swept when the machine is gone.
What we handle
How the treadmill comes out
We loosen the console bolts and fold it down with our own hex keys and sockets. A hinge that has rusted over the years gets worked loose patiently rather than forced.
The belt and deck are the heaviest part, so the stair plan is built around them: the hands the job needs, and extra hands when the machine is heavy or the turn is tight. On the truck the deck is strapped so it stays put across the causeway.
Photos usually answer the three things that change the plan — which floor it’s on, whether the stair turns, and whether it folds — and they’re enough for a firm price.
Send us a few photos and tell us what you need removed. We’ll take it from there.

Pricing
What changes the price
Weight, access and floor. A folding treadmill in a downstairs room sits at the light end; a non-folding commercial unit coming down from a bonus room sits at the heavy end. The drive on and off the island is part of the first number, not an add-on.
Anything else leaving the same room rides in the same load instead of needing a second visit.
Firm price from your photos, confirmed before anything is loaded. The minimum for any pickup is $95. We don’t charge extra for same-day pickup when we have an open time slot.
What we haul
Treadmills we take
- Folding and non-folding home treadmills
- Commercial-grade treadmills that ended up in a house
- Manual treadmills and treadmill desks
- Machines with a dead motor, a torn belt or a blank console
- The bench, weights and bike from the same room
After the pickup
After it leaves the house
We figure out the right destination for each treadmill from its condition. One that still runs is worth offering to an organization we work with, though donation standards for used exercise equipment are tight and they decide what they accept.
A dead machine is mostly motor and frame, and the metal is the part with value left in it, so it usually heads to scrap recycling, often at SA Recycling in Brunswick.
Either way the load comes straight off the island to Brunswick rather than stopping at a transfer point in between.
