Who Can Get a Marble Dining Table Out of a St. Simons House?

Same-Day Marble Table Removal on St. Simons Often Available — Call or Text

Yes, we take stone tables: marble dining tables, granite and quartz tops, travertine coffee tables, the glass-and-marble piece that never suited the room. A marble table is really two things: a base, and a slab of stone sitting on it. The base is ordinary furniture. The slab sets how the whole job goes.

A top that has already cracked is no problem either. It just leaves in more than one piece.

What we handle

What we take care of

The first move is almost always to separate the top from the base. Many tops simply sit on the pedestal or frame; others are pinned or glued, and those take more care. Then the slab is carried on its edge rather than flat, padded where it touches anything, and the base follows as its own carry.

Why on edge? A long top carried flat can crack under its own weight if it’s lifted from the ends. Your photos tell us how many hands it needs and what equipment we bring, so the crew that shows up fits the stone.

Send us a few photos and tell us what you need removed. We’ll take it from there.

St. Simons Island

Stone tables and island carries

Up on the north end the properties spread out, the ground can be soft, and the walk from the dining room to wherever the truck can sit is longer than anywhere else on the island. A slab is the last thing you want to rush over that distance, so on those jobs we budget extra time and bring extra hands from the start.

In the larger homes off Sea Island Road the pace is set by what’s being carried, not by the clock, and a marble top is exactly that kind of piece. Floors, door frames and the stair rail all matter on the way out, and the route gets walked before anybody takes a corner of the stone.

It could be a marble dining table up on the north end of the island in Harrington or a stone coffee table in St. Simons Heights. Either way it is the size of the slab and the stairs between it and the door that shape the plan.

The truck crosses the causeway both ways, and in summer that adds real time at each end. That time is already in the number you get.

Pricing

What changes the price

A stone table takes little room on the truck, so space isn’t what drives the price; the size of the slab and the route out are. A small travertine coffee table on a ground floor is quick. A long dining slab coming down a staircase from a second-floor room needs more people and more time.

Firm price from your photos, confirmed before anything is loaded. The minimum for any pickup is $95. We don’t charge extra for same-day pickup when we have an open time slot.

After the pickup

Where it goes

We figure out the right destination for the table based on what it is and the shape it’s in. A sound piece in good condition may be worth offering to one of the organizations we work with, such as Habitat for Humanity ReStore, and they decide whether they can take it.

Cracked slabs and worn bases are sorted by material like the rest of the load and disposed of properly when nothing better is left for them. The truck heads straight off the island into Brunswick.
