Who Can Get an Old Piano Out of a St. Simons Island Home?
Same-Day Piano Removal on St. Simons Island Often Available — Call or Text
We take pianos, upstairs ones included. A piano is the kind of weight where the wrong move hurts somebody, so the work lives in the setup: the right dolly, enough hands, and a route settled before anyone lifts.
Once it’s out of the house, it leaves the island for Brunswick, and we work out where it goes from there.
What we handle
How the piano comes out
Most uprights travel whole on a piano dolly; if it’s a bigger upright or a grand, that can mean extra hands. We take an instrument apart only as far as the doorway asks — the keyboard lid off an upright for a tight stair, the legs off a grand — because taking off more than that costs time and saves nobody’s back.
Stairs are where a piano becomes real work, and there is no weight we refuse on principle. We read the staircase, the landings, the turns and the floors, and the piano stays on the dolly from top to bottom. A church choir loft or balcony is planned the same way: send us a few photos and tell us where it is, and we’ll tell you what it takes.
Send us a few photos and tell us what you need removed. We’ll take it from there.
St. Simons Island
Moving a piano on the island
Plenty of island pianos sit in older houses around the Village, where the front door is narrow, the street has nowhere to leave a truck, and summer puts visitors on every sidewalk. A piano there gets planned from your photos and then checked again against what the street looks like that morning. We park where nobody gets trapped and roll the instrument a little farther instead.
Along Sea Island Road and in the larger homes toward the north end, the instrument is more likely a baby grand in a formal room with good floors and a long walk to the driveway. Speed isn’t the point. The legs and lyre come off, the body rides on its side on a skid, and every doorframe it passes gets as much care as the piano. If there’s a gate, we coordinate it with whoever lets us in.
It might be an upright in a family room in St. Simons Heights or a spinet wedged into a hallway of an older house in Glynn Haven. Either way, a few photos of the piano and the path to the door tell us the crew and the gear before we cross the causeway.
A piano is often the last big decision in an island estate. The bench sometimes holds sheet music, letters or photographs that matter, so anything that might carry value or meaning is set aside and brought to you before the piano goes.

Pricing
What sets the price
Which instrument it is, and the path from where it sits to the truck. An upright on a ground floor with open access is the light end. A grand coming down from a second-floor living room on the north end, with a long driveway after the stairs, is the heavy end. The causeway drive is inside the number from the start.
Firm price from your photos, confirmed before anything is loaded. The minimum for any pickup is $95. We don’t charge extra for same-day pickup when we have an open time slot.
After the pickup
After it leaves the house
We figure out the right destination for each piano from its condition, and it travels straight off the island to Brunswick rather than through a transfer stop on the way.
A piano that still plays well can be offered to one of the organizations we work with, such as the Salvation Army or Habitat for Humanity ReStore. They decide what they can take, and we’ll be straight with you on site about whether yours has a realistic chance.
Anything past reuse is sorted by material, and only what has no better use ends up as disposal.
