Replacing or Downsizing a Dining Set on St. Simons Island?

Same-Day Dining Table Removal on St. Simons Often Available — Call or Text

Yes, we take dining tables and everything that goes with them: formal sets with their leaves, pedestal and drop-leaf tables, chrome dinettes, kitchen chairs and the bar stools at the counter. A set of stools adds little weight and stacks or nests easily on the load, so nothing has to be left behind for a second trip.

Most of these calls start with something new on the way. The new set is coming, the old one has to go, and out here the timing matters about as much as the table does.

Dining sets on the island: rentals, condos and gates

From April into September a lot of island dining rooms get refreshed between guests. A rental owner swapping out a worn table has a check-in hour, not just a date, and the old table, chairs and stools need to be gone before the new set comes up the walk. Give us the turnover window and we plan the truck and the causeway around it.

Downsizing is the other story we hear here: the dining table that fit the family home doesn’t fit the condo. For a condo along the Demere corridor, where the truck can stop and how long it can stay are part of the plan, so we settle the elevator and the parking with you or the building ahead of time, and a long table comes down in pieces instead of one awkward lift.

The set might sit in a dining room behind the gate at Hamilton Landing or in a kitchen in Epworth Acres. Where there’s a gate, a code or an agreed time is all it takes, and we line that up with you when we schedule.

What we handle

How the table and chairs come out

A round pedestal table is the simple version: the pedestal unbolts from the top, two pieces ride flat, an easy carry. A long table is a different job. The leaves come out separately, and the legs can come off the apron when a hallway or a stair landing is tighter than the table.

A glass top comes off its base when it’s made to and rides padded on its own. Chairs take up room on the truck but very little effort, so even a full set of eight rarely changes the plan.

Send us a few photos and tell us what you need removed. We’ll take it from there.

Pricing

What changes the price

Dining table pricing scales with size, material, and access. A small kitchen table from a ground-floor room is the light end; a long solid-wood table with eight chairs coming down a condo stairwell is the heavy end. The causeway drive is counted from the start, not tacked on later.

Firm price from your photos, confirmed before anything is loaded. The minimum for any pickup is $95. We don’t charge extra for same-day pickup when we have an open time slot.

After the pickup

Where the set goes

We figure out the right destination once we see the set. Solid wood in good shape is worth offering together, because a set is easier to find a home for whole than in pieces, to one of the organizations we work with, such as Habitat for Humanity ReStore or the Salvation Army. They decide what they accept, and condition matters.

If it’s particleboard under a veneer, it was always meant to be temporary, and those tables, like ones too damaged to reuse, usually go to disposal. Either way the load comes straight off the island to Brunswick.
