Need a Slate Pool Table Taken Out of a St. Simons Island Home?
Same-Day Pool Table Removal on St. Simons Island Often Available — Call or Text
Can we take it? Yes. Pool tables are deceptively heavy because the slate is the issue: two or three stone panels under the felt, each one a serious lift. So a table never leaves in one piece, and it doesn’t need to.
Basements barely exist on this coast, so the table is usually in a bonus room, a converted attic or a room over the garage. It got up there in pieces, carried one panel at a time, and that is exactly how it comes back down.
What we handle
How we take it down
The felt comes off first, then the rails, then the slate panels separate, then the frame disassembles — all in the room, with our tools.
Each panel gets the hands it needs, with a spotter below on stairs. We size the crew to the table in front of us rather than to a rule, so a small bar table and a nine-foot slate table don’t get the same plan.
Send us a few photos and tell us what you need removed. We’ll take it from there.

Pool tables in island homes
Up the island, in the older and larger houses, a game room can be a long way from the drive. Before we arrive we’ve worked out how far the table really is from where the trailer can sit, and where to put the equipment so it isn’t in anybody’s way while slate is moving.
The table might be in a home in Hamilton Landing or up at the north end in Frederica. Where there’s a gate, a code or a set arrival window is all we need, and we arrange that with you when the day is booked.
In houses like these we pay attention to what we carry out and what we carry it past. A slate panel goes down a finished staircase with the walls, the banister and the floor covered, and the crew never sets it down mid-stair.
Some island tables have been in the family a long time. If yours might matter to someone, or the cues and accessories do, we’ll set them aside and ask before anything goes on the truck.

Pricing
What changes the price
Size, slate weight, access and stairs. A seven-foot table on the ground floor with an open path is the light end; a nine-foot slate table from an upstairs bonus room with a turn in the stair is the heavy end, because each panel takes its own trip.
On a larger property the distance from the game room to the trailer is part of the job, and it goes into the quote from the start along with the drive across the causeway.
Firm price from your photos, confirmed before anything is loaded. The minimum for any pickup is $95. We don’t charge extra for same-day pickup when we have an open time slot.
After the pickup
Where the table goes
We figure out the right destination piece by piece. A quality table in playable condition occasionally has a second life, and we’ll look for one, but whoever would take it decides.
Slate is the honest part. Now and then someone can use a panel for a garden project or a workbench top, and we try. Most of the time it goes to the landfill, where natural stone is inert and simply sits.
The frame and rails route through normal disposal, and the whole load leaves the island straight for Brunswick.
