Who Hauls Away an Old Trailer on St. Simons Island?

Same-Day Utility Trailer Removal on St. Simons Often Available — Call or Text

Yes, we take old trailers in any condition. Most of them are a steel frame and an axle with something on top that has given up — soft deck boards, a gate rusted open, a cargo floor rotted through — and the tires, hubs and tongue jack decide whether the thing moves at all.

It leaves the island to Brunswick on the day we pick it up.

St. Simons Island

Trailers on St. Simons

On the island a dead trailer is usually wedged into whatever space was left: a side yard between two houses, the end of a short driveway, a strip of grass behind a fence. In the older neighborhoods by the Village, getting our own truck positioned on a street with no parking is part of the plan, so we look at the street in your photos as closely as the trailer.

Enclosed cargo trailers often became storage sheds on wheels years ago, packed with beach chairs, tools and boxes nobody has opened since they went in. The trailer and its contents go together; there’s no need to empty it first.

Along Sea Island Road and up the island, lots and driveways run longer, and a landscape trailer may sit well back from the road. If it won’t roll, it comes out by winch along a route chosen to spare the lawn and the drive as much as the ground allows.

In some neighborhoods it’s the trailer the association has written about twice. Once we’ve seen a photo, getting it gone is a short job, and the causeway drive is already counted in the quote you get.

What we handle

What we take care of

A trailer that rolls on decent tires is loaded with equipment sized to it. One that won’t is moved by winch, and a deck or box that has rotted can come apart before the frame goes. We decide which from your photos, so a picture of the tires and one of the way out help as much as the trailer itself.

No title or registration in hand? That doesn’t hold anything up — note it with the photos and we’ll sort it out with you when we quote.

Send us a few photos and tell us what you need removed. We’ll take it from there.

Pricing

What changes the price

Size, whether it rolls, and what’s on or in it. A small empty utility trailer at the curb is the light end. A packed cargo trailer with seized hubs at the back of a long lot is the heavy end, and its contents are priced in the same number.

Firm price from your photos, confirmed before anything is loaded. The minimum for any pickup is $95. We don’t charge extra for same-day pickup when we have an open time slot.

After the pickup

Where it goes

We figure out the right destination for each part of the trailer. Rather than stopping at the island drop-off, the load goes straight to Brunswick.

The steel frame and axle usually go to scrap, often at SA Recycling in Brunswick.

Rotted wood decking is disposal, and whatever was stored inside is sorted by what it is.
