How Do You Get Rid of an Old Camper on St. Simons Island?
Same-Day RV Removal on St. Simons Island Often Available — Call or Text
Yes, we take old campers and travel trailers, including the ones that haven’t moved in years. A camper falls between every category — too big for an ordinary junk load, too far gone for a dealer — so it sits, and each year it gets a little harder to move. That’s exactly the call we expect.
Once it’s loaded, it comes straight off the island to Brunswick.
St. Simons Island
Getting a camper off the island
Near the beach and through the older blocks by the Village, the streets are narrow and a trailer’s length leaves little room to swing. There, placing our truck and trailer is often harder than moving the camper itself, so we work out the approach from your photos and choose a time when the street is quiet enough to do it without stopping traffic.
Up toward the north end, properties are bigger and the ground is softer, and a camper parked at the back of a lot for years has often settled in. Equipment heavy enough to pull it needs firm footing, so dry weather and a planned route across the yard matter more than the camper’s length.
Pulling a camper over the causeway is slow on a summer Saturday and easy on a weekday morning. We schedule it for the easy version when we can, and the drive is in the price from the start either way.
The weather here works on anything left outside. Roofs fail, floors go soft and the upholstery has soaked in years of coastal humidity, and a storm can finish what the weather started. Damaged units are ordinary work for us.
What we handle
How the job works
What decides this job is whether the thing will roll, and the tires answer that. A unit that rolls gets pulled out whole, the quickest version for everyone. One that won’t gets handled where it sits, with the equipment brought to it, sized to the unit and the yard.
Photos of the unit, the tongue, the tires and what’s between it and the street tell us most of it. For a motorhome, running or not, send us a few photos and tell us where it is, and we’ll tell you what it takes. Whoever books the job just needs the right to dispose of it; if anything special is needed, we’ll sort it out with you when we quote.
Send us a few photos and tell us what you need removed. We’ll take it from there.

Pricing
What changes the price
Access changes the number more than anything: whether it rolls, how far it sits from where a truck can reach, what the ground will carry, and what has grown up around it — a fence built past it, a tree that got large, a shed put up beside it. Size matters less than people expect.
Firm price from your photos, confirmed before anything is loaded. The minimum for any pickup is $95. We don’t charge extra for same-day pickup when we have an open time slot.

After the pickup
Where it goes
We figure out the right destination for each part. A camper isn’t one material — aluminum, a steel frame, appliances, cabinetry, insulation, roof membrane — and those don’t all travel the same way.
The frame, siding and axles have real metal value and usually go to metal recycling, such as SA Recycling in Brunswick. The tires come off and go their own way, not with a general load.
Waterlogged wood, insulation and upholstery are disposal, and we’d rather say so plainly.
