Who Takes Away a Golf Cart That Won’t Run on St. Simons?

Same-Day Golf Cart Removal on St. Simons Island Often Available — Call or Text

Yes, we take golf carts in any condition. On the island they run errands, ferry kids to the beach access and get lifted, lit and made street-legal, and when one dies it usually gets parked in the garage for now and then stays there.

A cart looks light and isn’t. An electric one carries a bank of batteries under the seat that can outweigh the rest of it, so a dead cart is a dead weight on four small wheels.

Getting a cart out on the island

Where the cart sits and how far that is from the truck set the time on site. Near the beach the streets are tight and parking is the hard part, so the cart often has to roll or be winched a little farther to wherever the truck and trailer can stop without blocking the block. We bring the smaller truck when the street calls for it.

Up toward the north end the properties spread out and some of the ground is soft. A cart that’s fine on a garage floor is stubborn on grass, and one parked in a side yard for a few rainy seasons may have sunk in. We bring more hands for those and plan the route to the truck before anybody pushes.

Plenty of carts turn up during an estate or a move, sitting among everything else in the garage. On those jobs we look at what’s worth a second look before it goes, and the cart rides off the island in the same load, across the causeway and straight into Brunswick.

What we handle

What we sort out

If it rolls in neutral, we push it up the ramps; if the brakes are locked or the tires are gone, we winch it.

If the batteries are still under the seat, there’s gas in a gas cart, or it was registered for the street, just say so with the photos — we’ll sort it out with you when we quote.

Send us a few photos and tell us what you need removed. We’ll take it from there.

After the pickup

Where the cart goes

We figure out the right destination for each part of the cart. The frame and running gear are the part with something left in them, and that metal typically goes to scrap at SA Recycling in Brunswick.

Seats, roofs and body panels go wherever the material calls for, recycled when that’s practical. The whole load comes off the island to Brunswick.

Pricing

What changes the price

A single cart takes a fair share of the truck, and lifted carts take more. Whether it rolls and how far it is from where the truck can park are the other drivers, and the causeway is already counted in.

Firm price from your photos, confirmed before anything is loaded. The minimum for any pickup is $95. We don’t charge extra for same-day pickup when we have an open time slot.
