Got a Brush Pile or Old Wood Pile on St. Simons That Needs Hauling?

Same-Day Yard Debris Removal on St. Simons Island Often Available — Call or Text

Yes. Whether it’s what the tree crew left on the ground, a season of fronds and pine straw raked into a heap, a wax myrtle hedge that threw off far more brush than expected, or a stack of firewood going soft by the fence, the crew loads it by hand and hauls it away.

St. Simons Island

Island yards and what they leave behind

The pile might be behind a house down in German Village or out in Harrington at the other end of the island. Either way, the photos tell us two things first: what the pile is made of and how far it sits from where a truck can stop.

Near the Village, parking is scarce and the sidewalks are busy, so the truck goes where it won’t block anyone and the loading is steady and quick. Up the north end the lots are quieter and more spread out and the ground can be soft, so a heap at the back of the property means a longer carry; we bring more hands for that rather than driving across a wet lawn.

Coastal debris is lopsided. A heap of sabal fronds looks enormous and weighs little; one fallen live oak limb can come close to half a ton; and wet moss knots itself through both.

Each load rides back over the causeway, which slows down on summer weekends. That time is built into the number you get at the start, not tacked on later.

What we handle

What we take care of

Once the limbs are down and cut to length, the rest is ours: gathering the loose material, carrying it from the backyard, and pulling a mixed pile apart so the routing stays honest.

A pile that has sat for years can hold rotten lumber, metal and things nobody remembers putting there, so we look it over from your photos before we price it.

If Glynn County’s curbside yard-waste pickup fits your timeline and volume, we’ll say so and tell you to use it.

Send us a few photos and tell us what you need removed. We’ll take it from there.

Pricing

What changes the price

Space on the truck first, weight second — a frond pile and an oak pile of the same size are not the same job. After that it’s the walk: debris by the driveway loads faster than debris carried out from a back corner of the lot.

Firm price from your photos, confirmed before anything is loaded. The minimum for any pickup is $95. We don’t charge extra for same-day pickup when we have an open time slot.

After the pickup

Where it goes

We figure out the right destination for each load from what’s in it. Clean green material is kept apart from junk, and a mixed pile is sorted so each part can be handled the right way.

There is a drop-off on the island, and it has its uses, but the material has to cross the causeway sooner or later; for most loads we drive it straight to Brunswick rather than adding a stop.

Metal that turns up in a yard pile — wire, a rusted wheelbarrow, old edging — typically goes for scrap, often at SA Recycling in Brunswick.
