Pricing
How pricing works.
What aquarium removal costs here. We price by the tier your items fill, starting at $95–$150 for a 1/8 truck; a single item is quoted from a photo so we can confirm the tier before anything is loaded. The number you agree to is the number you pay, and it includes carry-out, the disposal fee and cleanup.
A small aquarium on a stand is a small share of the truck. The price climbs with size, the number of people a big glass box needs, stairs and tight turns, and how much gravel and rock is going too. Furniture or anything else from the house can join the same trip. The minimum for any pickup is $95.

Part of our Single Item Pickup service
Yes, we remove aquariums, stands and all. A big aquarium is one of those things that went in easy and won’t come out the same way. It was carried in empty and new, then set up, and over the years the room got arranged around it. Now it’s six feet of glass on a cabinet in the corner of the den, with a sofa in front of it and a hallway that turns twice on the way to the door.
Glass is the thing to respect. An empty glass aquarium is heavier than it looks, the silicone seams are the weak point, and a crack that’s been there for years can let go when the box flexes on a stair. So it gets carried level, by enough hands that nobody’s straining, with the corners padded and the path planned before anyone lifts. Acrylic weighs less but scratches and bows, and it gets the same care.
The rest is a small pile of its own: the stand or cabinet, the canopy and lights, the pumps and filters under it, buckets of gravel and sand, rock, and a few boxes of supplies. The gravel and rock are often the heaviest part of the whole job.

How we work
Getting a Big Aquarium Out of an Older Brunswick House
We plan the way out first: which doors, which turns, whether a door comes off its hinges for a minute, and where the truck can sit. Moving blankets and protective coverings go on the corners and the floor, and nothing gets dragged. A photo of the aquarium, its stand and the path to the front door is enough for us to send the right number of people.
If anything special is needed, we’ll sort it out with you when we quote. Stairs, a second floor or a cracked panel just change how many hands it takes, not whether it goes.
Afterward, the destination depends on condition. A whole tank with sound seams, a solid stand or a working pump may be worth offering to organizations we work with, which decide what they accept. Cracked glass, worn equipment and old gravel leave with the load.
An older in-town house in New Town, or a home on the residential streets around Parkwood, often means a hallway with a turn in it and a front door narrower than the aquarium is long. That’s where planning beats muscle. The stand, the canopy and the equipment come out first, then the glass, carried level with blankets on the corners and an eye on every doorframe along the way. If there’s a porch step or a second floor, that just changes how many people we send. A photo of the aquarium and one of the hallway is enough to price it for any home in Brunswick.
