Heavy, Awkward Pieces Out of Brunswick Homes, With a Plan
Same-Day Heavy Item Removal in Brunswick Often Available — Call or Text
Can you get the heavy, awkward pieces out?
Yes. Some things aren’t big so much as difficult: a marble dining table whose top outweighs its base, a grandfather clock that’s taller than the doorway once it tips, a large aquarium on its stand. They don’t take up much of a truck. They take planning, careful hands and a clear route out of the house.
That’s what this group is — the heavy, the top-heavy and the breakable. Granite and travertine tops, glass-and-stone tables, stone-top consoles, tall case clocks old and new, aquarium stands and indoor fountains all belong here. Cracked, stopped years ago, or simply wrong for the new place, it can go.
If a piece might be worth having looked at, we’ll say so before it’s loaded. We haul; we don’t appraise. The call is always yours.

How a heavy or fragile piece leaves the house
It starts with photos: the piece, the room it’s in, and the path to the door — stairs, a tight turn, a long hallway. For a stone top, a rough size helps. From that we can price it and work out how many people and what equipment it needs.
On the day, whatever can come apart comes apart first. A marble or granite top usually lifts off its base and travels on its edge, padded, rather than flat — a slab carried flat from the ends can crack under its own weight. A grandfather clock is wrapped so the glass and the finish are protected, then carried upright wherever the route allows and laid down only where a doorway or a stair forces it. Stairs and landings are planned before anyone lifts.
Already cracked or broken? Then it’s just more than one piece to carry. The rest of the room can go in the same trip — dining chairs, a china cabinet, the rug.
Afterward, stone, glass and wood are recycled or disposed of as the material allows. A piece in good shape may suit someone else, and where that’s realistic we try, though the place receiving it decides what it accepts.
What changes the price
These pieces rarely fill much of a truck, so space usually isn’t what sets the price. Weight, the number of hands it takes and the route out do. A stone coffee table on a ground floor is quick work; a long dining top or a tall clock coming down a flight of stairs takes more people and more time. Separating a heavy top from its base is part of the job and part of the number.
If the piece is one item in a bigger cleanout, it rides along with the rest of the load.
