Pricing
How pricing works.
What buffet and sideboard removal costs here. We price by the tier your items fill, starting at $95–$150 for a 1/8 truck; a single item is quoted from a photo so we can confirm the tier before anything is loaded. The number you agree to is the number you pay, and it includes carry-out, the disposal fee and cleanup.
A buffet by itself doesn’t take much room on the truck. What moves the price is the rest of the dining room coming with it — the table, the chairs, a hutch — and how far the long piece has to travel, especially down a flight of stairs. If you decide on the day to add the chairs after all, we tell you what that changes and you decide. The minimum for any pickup is $95.

Part of our Furniture Removal service
Yes, we take them. A buffet is the long, low piece against the dining-room wall — six feet or more of wood at hip height, drawers on top, doors underneath, built to hold the good dishes and the table linens. A sideboard is the same idea up on legs. A server is the smaller cousin, and a credenza is what the office version gets called.
What makes one awkward isn’t height, it’s length. A tall cabinet tips; a buffet swings. The weight runs end to end, so the trouble spot is the turn out of the dining room into a hallway, where a corner wants to catch the doorframe or the plaster on the way by. Older solid-wood buffets add a second problem: they’re heavier than they look, and most of that weight is in the case, not the drawers.
So the carry starts with taking weight off. The drawers slide out and travel on their own. Doors get latched so they can’t swing open mid-turn. A marble or stone top, if it has one, lifts off and rides on edge. Legs that unscrew come off when the doorway is tight, and a door comes off its hinges when that’s what it takes.

How we work
Getting a Long Buffet Out of an Older Brunswick House
Most buffets leave in one piece once the drawers are out. The crew pads the corners, plans the route before anyone lifts, and walks it out end-first, swinging wide where the hall allows and standing it up on end where it doesn’t. Nothing gets dragged across the floor. Stairs just mean another set of hands on the low end.
You don’t have to empty it. If we find silverware, papers or anything that looks personal in a drawer, we hand it to you before the piece goes on the truck — that call is yours, not ours.
A solid-wood sideboard in good shape is the kind of piece we try to place with an organization we work with, such as Habitat for Humanity ReStore or the Salvation Army. They decide what they accept, and condition matters. The rest goes where it belongs for what it’s made of.
In the older in-town houses, like the ones around Arco or in New Town, the dining room tends to open onto a narrow hall and a front door with a turn right behind it. That’s where six feet of solid wood gets awkward. The crew pulls the drawers, pads every corner and walks the buffet out end-first, standing it up on end when the hall won’t let it swing. Floors get covered, and nothing scrapes along the plaster. A photo of the buffet and the doorway it has to clear is all we need for a firm price, in any dining room across Brunswick.
