What microwave removal costs here. We price by the tier your items fill, starting at $95–$150 for a 1/8 truck; a single item is quoted from a photo so we can confirm the tier before anything is loaded. The number you agree to is the number you pay, and it includes carry-out, the disposal fee and cleanup.
Microwave removal prices on the same four things as any job: how much room it takes on the truck, the labor to get it out of where it sits, the access, and disposal cost. A microwave takes almost no room, so labor and access carry the number.

A microwave is the appliance people assume they can handle themselves, and for a countertop unit they usually can. The reason this page exists is the other kind.
An over-the-range microwave is bolted through the cabinet above it and hung on a wall plate behind it, and it comes down at head height over a stove. It is heavier than it looks, the mounting bolts are up inside the cabinet where you cannot see them while you are holding the weight, and the failure mode is dropping a forty-pound appliance onto a glass cooktop. That takes extra hands, and it is the single most common reason somebody calls us about a microwave rather than carrying it out themselves.
Built-in and trim-kit units are the same story with more cabinetry involved. They sit in a framed opening, fastened at the sides, and the trim kit has to come off before anything moves.
The other pattern here is that microwaves rarely travel alone. They come out as part of a kitchen — a renovation, a rental turnover, an estate cleanout, a second home being refreshed between seasons. The old range goes, the dishwasher goes, and the microwave goes with them. On the coast we also see a steady trickle of units that simply died of humidity and salt air, where the touchpad stopped responding long before anything else failed.
Whatever the reason, it is a small item that becomes a real job the moment it is attached to something.

How we work
Over-the-Range Microwaves in Brunswick Rentals
A countertop unit is a lift and a walk to the truck. We unplug it and we are done in a minute.
Over-the-range is the real job. One of us takes the weight from below while another backs out the bolts through the top of the cabinet. The unit hangs on a plate screwed into the wall studs, so it lifts up and off rather than pulling straight out, and we take the plate with it unless you are putting a new microwave in the same spot and want it left. Tell us which on the call.
Built-ins mean the trim kit comes off first, then the fasteners at the sides of the opening. Cabinetry stays put; we are removing the appliance, not the cabinet.
We do not disconnect hardwired units or do electrical work. Almost all microwaves are plug-in, including most over-the-range models, which plug into an outlet inside the cabinet above. If yours is hardwired, we’ll help figure out what’s needed and work around it.
Where an old vent hood or range is coming out in the same visit, we take it in the same load — that is usually how these go.
An over-the-range microwave is a common turnover item, so in Brunswick it may be one line on a property manager’s list for an apartment off Altama or a rental out around Glynco near the airport. On an upper floor it can mean extra hands for the take-down and a careful carry down the stairwell, and the mounting plate comes with it unless a new unit is going in the same spot.
