Pricing
How pricing works.
What organ removal costs here. We price by the tier your items fill, starting at $95–$150 for a 1/8 truck; a single item is quoted from a photo so we can confirm the tier before anything is loaded. The number you agree to is the number you pay, and it includes carry-out, the disposal fee and cleanup.
A home organ and its bench usually take a small share of the truck. A church console with its speaker cabinets takes more, and a choir loft or a balcony stair adds time and hands. Show us the organ and the way out, and that number holds unless you add to the job. The minimum for any pickup is $95.

Part of our Furniture Removal service
Yes, we take them. An organ isn’t a piano, and it doesn’t move like one. Most of the organs people call about are electric or electronic home and church consoles — a wooden cabinet with two keyboards stacked one over the other, a row of stops or tabs, a pedalboard at your feet and a bench that usually opens up full of sheet music. Plenty of them also have a separate speaker cabinet that sits off to one side or in another room entirely.
That makes it a job of parts more than raw weight. The bench comes away first. The pedalboard usually unhooks from the bottom of the console and travels on its own. What’s left is wide, top-heavy and full of electronics, so it rides upright on a dolly with the keys covered rather than tipped and slid. Some of the older Hammond consoles are a good deal heavier than they look, and those get the extra hands.
Usually it comes up because nobody in the family plays it anymore, or a church is renovating and the old console has to go before the new one comes in.

How we work
Taking an Old Organ Out of a Brunswick Front Room
The tricky organs are the ones that went in before the room was finished around them — a den that got new trim, a choir loft reached by a narrow stair. The crew plans the route first, covers the floor, and takes a door off its hinges when that buys the inches. On a church job, the speaker cabinets and the console may be in different places, and they all go in the same visit. Tell us what days work around services and we’ll plan to them.
If the organ still plays, we can offer it to an organization we work with. They decide what they take, and condition matters. An organ that won’t power on goes to the appropriate electronics recycling or disposal channel, and the wood cabinet and bench leave with the rest of the load.
A home organ was usually carried in once and never moved again. Whether it’s a Hammond in the front room of a house in Brunswick Villa or a Lowrey in a den off Blythe Island Highway, the trouble is mostly width and balance, not weight. The bench and the pedalboard come away first, the console goes upright on a dolly with the keys covered, and the floor and doorframes are protected on the way out. If there’s a speaker cabinet in another room, it goes too. A photo of the organ and the door it leaves through is plenty to price it, wherever you are around Brunswick.
