Pricing
How pricing works.
What church furniture removal costs here. We price by the tier your items fill, starting at $95–$150 for a 1/8 truck; a single item is quoted from a photo so we can confirm the tier before anything is loaded. The number you agree to is the number you pay, and it includes carry-out, the disposal fee and cleanup.
Church furniture fills a truck by length as much as by weight, so a row of pews moves up the tiers quickly. What sets the number is how many pews there are and how long they run, whether they leave whole or in sections, how far the carry is from a balcony or the back of the fellowship hall, and how much from the classrooms rides along. It’s settled from your photos before anything is loaded. The minimum for any pickup is $95.

Part of our Furniture Removal service
Yes, we remove church furniture, and the pew is usually the piece that sets the plan. A pew is a long, solid bench — anywhere from a short side-aisle seat to one that spans the nave — often with cushions, hymnal racks and carved end panels attached, and it was carried in through doors that may have been rebuilt since. It comes out the way it fits: whole when the doors and the aisle allow it, in sections when they don’t. A balcony pew comes down the stair on its end, with a hand at each end and the walls covered where the turn is tight.
The rest of the sanctuary goes piece by piece: the pulpit and the lectern, the communion table, a freestanding baptismal font, choir chairs and the risers under them, the robe cabinet, the hymnal and Bible racks. Back in the fellowship hall and the classrooms it’s more ordinary — Sunday school tables, little chairs, bookcases, nursery cribs and rockers, and the upright piano nobody has tuned in a while.
Church furniture often means something to the people who sat in it. If a pew carries a memorial plaque a family would like back, or the congregation wants a few pieces kept for a chapel or a hallway, tell us and we’ll work it out with you before anything is loaded. Pieces in good shape can sometimes find a second life with organizations we work with, such as Habitat for Humanity ReStore or the Salvation Army. They decide what they can take, and condition matters.

How we work
Getting Church Pews Out of an Older Brunswick Sanctuary
In a lot of sanctuaries the pews are fastened to the floor. That’s no reason to hold off calling: send us a few photos and tell us where it is, and we’ll tell you what it takes. Freestanding pews and furniture simply carry out. Either way, the aisle and the steps get walked first, corners and doorframes get covered where a long piece has to turn, and nothing gets dragged across the floor.
We plan around the church calendar — a weekday between services, or the week the renovation contractor needs the room empty. A renovation, a replacement order or two congregations consolidating into one building can run in phases, sanctuary first and classrooms later, on one plan and one price. Whoever handles it for the church, whether that’s the pastor, a trustee or the building committee, is who we work out the details with.
Church buildings around Brunswick range from older in-town sanctuaries to country churches set back on a few acres. An older sanctuary in the Fourth Street area might have a balcony, a narrow stair and front steps built long before anyone pictured a pew going back out, so the carry gets planned turn by turn. A country church out Highway 99 brings a different question: how close the truck can get across a grass lot after a wet week. Send a few photos of the pews and the way out, and we’ll price it for any congregation around Brunswick.
