Does the motor have to come out of an adjustable base before you take it?

No. The motor, control box and wiring stay in the frame and leave as part of it. We unplug it and handle the rest.

Is a Sleep Number bed different to remove than a regular adjustable bed?

Only a little. An air-chamber bed has a pump and hoses that go out with the mattress, and the base comes out like any other. A photo tells us which kind you have.

Can you get an adjustable base down from an upstairs bedroom?
