Need the Old Water Heater Gone From a Darien Home?
Call or Text for the Next Water Heater Removal Opening in Darien
Yes, we haul water heaters out here, including the old one the plumber left in the carport after the new one went in. A tank is bulkier and heavier than it looks, especially once sediment has built up inside, and getting it from where it sits to the truck is exactly the part we take off your hands.
Darien
Water heaters around Darien and McIntosh County
One water heater doesn’t need its own run up from Brunswick. We plan our days out here so it can share the trip with whatever else is going: the rest of a garage, a dead washer, an old refrigerator, or the furniture from a house that’s changing hands. The tank rides along instead of being priced like a special delivery.
The old tank might be in a utility room up Highway 99 in Ridgeville (The Ridge), or out in a garage near Butler Island. Wherever it is, the path from that spot to the truck is what we plan around.
Often the water heater is one small piece of a bigger story — a family finally dealing with a parent’s house, where the tank in the hall closet may not have worked in years. It goes out with the rest of that cleanout, at whatever pace the family sets.

What we handle
How a water heater job goes
Your photos tell us the size of the tank, where it sits and what stands between it and the truck — an attic hatch, a crawlspace opening, a tight utility closet. We plan the hands and the dolly around that, and if it’s an eighty-gallon tank or an awkward carry, that can mean extra hands.
A tankless heater is a different shape of job from a tank, and we treat it that way. When licensed electrical or plumbing work is needed, that’s normally handled by you or a licensed pro. Show us what you have and where it is, and we’ll help figure out what’s needed and work around it.
Send us a few photos and tell us what you need removed. We’ll take it from there.
Pricing
What changes the price
Size and type first: a standard tank is lighter work than an eighty-gallon unit, and a tankless heater off the wall is its own kind of job. Then where it sits — a garage floor near the drive is quick, while an attic or a crawlspace takes more time and more hands.
If the heater goes out with the rest of a garage or a house, it’s part of one load and one price rather than a stand-alone trip, and you have the number before we touch the unit.
Firm price from your photos, confirmed before anything is loaded. The minimum for any pickup is $95.
After the pickup
Where it goes
An old tank is mostly steel, so it usually heads to SA Recycling in Brunswick for scrap rather than into a landfill.
A heat-pump water heater counts as a refrigerant appliance, and those go to SA Recycling, where regulated refrigerant recovery happens.
A unit with useful life left is sometimes repaired and given to a family who needs it — a good outcome when it happens, never a promise for any particular heater.
