Old Washer and Dryer to Get Out of a Darien Home?
Call or Text for the Next Washer & Dryer Removal Opening in Darien
Yes, we take them: top-loaders, front-loaders, gas and electric dryers, stacked pairs out of a closet, and the old agitator machines that outlasted two newer ones. A front-loader is heavier than anyone expects — it’s a washer with a cinder block hidden inside it — so it can mean extra hands and a dolly.
What we haul
Laundry machines we take
- Top-load and front-load washers
- Gas and electric dryers
- Stacked pairs and single-cabinet laundry centers
- Older agitator and wringer-style washers
- Portable and twin-tub washers
- The pedestals and risers under the pair
- A machine that quit mid-cycle, or one that still runs
What we handle
What we take care of on a laundry job
We plan the carry from your photos: a stacked pair comes apart before it moves, a front-loader can mean extra hands, and a cramped laundry closet gets a plan for angling the dolly before we pull in. When licensed electrical or plumbing work is needed, that’s normally handled by you or a licensed pro. Show us what you have and where it is, and we’ll help figure out what’s needed and work around it.
Send us a few photos and tell us what you need removed. We’ll take it from there.

Laundry on rural McIntosh County properties
Out in the county the laundry often isn’t in the house at all. It’s on a back porch, in a utility room off the carport, or out in a shed, and the truck may have to stop well short of it. That’s normal for us: the machine comes the last stretch on a dolly, by hand, and when the drive is too tight for the big truck we bring smaller equipment.
That might be a washer behind one of the rural homes in Townsend, or a dryer in a utility room over in Jones. A soft spot in the yard, a gate or a culvert you don’t trust — tell us on the call or show it in the photos, and we’ll plan around it.
In a move-out or an estate cleanout, the washer and dryer usually leave with the refrigerator, the stove and whatever the back room has gathered over the years. One trip, one price for the load.
Pricing
What sets the price
The machines, the floor they’re on and the path out. A top-loader and an electric dryer from a porch is the easy version; a stacked pair from an upstairs closet with a narrow door is the slow one.
Several appliances from one property price as one load rather than separate trips, which counts for more when we’re already making the run up from Brunswick.
Firm price from your photos, confirmed before anything is loaded. The minimum for any pickup is $95.
After the pickup
Where the machines go
Washers and dryers are mostly steel, so they usually go to scrap at SA Recycling in Brunswick.
A machine with real life left is sometimes repaired inexpensively and handed on to a family who needs one. That depends on the machine and isn’t promised ahead of time.
Anything on the load that isn’t metal goes where its material belongs, and that can mean disposal.
