Done Paying for a Storage Unit in Darien?
Call or Text for the Next Storage Unit Cleanout Opening in Darien
Yes, the whole unit. A storage unit is meant to be temporary, and then the months turn into years and the bill keeps coming. Emptying it right at the facility skips the worst part of the job: hauling it all home to sort, then carrying every box a second time when you finally decide it’s going.
Darien
Storage unit cleanouts around Darien
Around Darien a storage unit is often what remains of a household. A parent moved into something smaller, or passed, and the furniture went into a unit while the family worked out what came next. Years later nobody is quite ready to roll the door up. We take that kind of unit at a gentle pace, and anything that looks personal gets set aside for you instead of guessed at.
It doesn’t have to happen in one sitting. Some families pull out what matters on one visit and clear the rest a week or two later, and that’s a perfectly good way to do it.
The unit might hold the contents of a family home in Crescent or a house out along Highway 99 in Carnigan. Wherever the things came from, they leave the facility on our truck, and the material decides where each part of the load goes.
Working at a facility means fitting inside its gate hours, so a storage unit gets a set slot on a planned Darien day — sometimes paired with the house or garage the contents came from, on the same trip.

What we handle
How the day at the facility works
Whoever holds the key meets us there — you, a relative, a friend. We keep to the facility’s gate hours and truck placement, keep the aisle moving, and load straight from the unit onto our truck.
Want a look before it goes? We pull things out into the aisle so you can decide standing right there. When we finish, the unit is empty and swept, ready to hand back.
Whoever books needs the right to dispose of the unit’s contents, and if there’s any question about that, we’ll sort it out with you when we quote.
Send us a few photos and tell us what you need removed. We’ll take it from there.
After the pickup
Where it goes
Furniture and household goods in decent shape may be offered to HART in McIntosh County or another organization we work with. They decide what they take, and condition matters.
Metal, along with any refrigerator or freezer that sat in the unit, usually goes to the appropriate recycling channel, often SA Recycling in Brunswick.
Old TVs and electronics go to an appropriate electronics recycling or disposal channel, such as Broadhurst, which accepts certain broken electronics, and what has nowhere better to go goes to disposal.
Pricing
What changes the price
How much of the truck the contents fill. A small unit with a few pieces and some boxes is a small load; a big unit packed to the door is a big one. The price works the same at a facility as it would at a house.
Anything else on the trip — a garage, a spare room, the house the unit was filled from — can be priced in with it.
Firm price from your photos, confirmed before anything is loaded. The minimum for any pickup is $95.
