How the sort works
It’s sort-as-you-go. We bring things out a section at a time and check with you on anything that isn’t obvious, and when a box looks personal, we stop and ask rather than guess. The sorting time is part of the price, not an extra.
Nothing needs sorting before we get there. The keep pile goes back into the garage neatly, and if the attic is on the list, it’s the same job in a harder room, so we pace it that way.

On the main residential side, houses sit apart and driveways take the truck without trouble, which matters more for a garage than almost any other job. The sort happens right on the concrete in three piles — keep, donate, go — and a home off Captain Wylly Road generally has the room for it without spilling into the street.
Along Shell Road, nearer the older part of the island, the garage or outbuilding can be old too. Older structures get more care with doors, rafters and shelving that have been fixed in place for a long time.
The go pile is what shapes the day. All of it leaves the island with us, so we load it the way it will come off on the mainland: metal together, anything that might be donated kept clean and dry, true trash on its own. Ordinary bulk collection out here doesn’t cover every kind of material, and a garage full of mixed stuff is exactly the kind of job a private crew is for.
Most of the year the island runs at a steady pace. After a hurricane or a big storm, debris and urgent cleanup take priority everywhere in the region, and we’ll be straight with you about where a garage job lands.

We work out the right destination for the go pile once it’s on the truck. Metal like old shelving, a broken bike or tools past saving is often recycled as scrap at SA Recycling in Brunswick.
The donate pile may go to organizations we work with; Habitat ReStore takes some categories, and other organizations we work with take others. They decide what they accept, and condition matters.
Whatever has no better use is disposed of properly on the mainland, and nothing gets left by the road.
Pricing
What sets the price
Volume and time on site are the real drivers: how much is coming out, how much of it we’re sorting with you, and whether the attic or a shed is part of it. The drive back across the bridge is built into the estimate up front.
Firm price from your photos, confirmed before anything is loaded. The minimum for any pickup is $95. We don’t charge extra for same-day pickup when we have an open time slot.
