Those jobs live inside a guest window, so we work to the check-out and check-in times the manager gives us and tell them what we know as soon as we know it.

A rental near South Beach might mean an outside stair and a walk to wherever the truck can stop, while one of the older homes on Stable Road can mean a narrow kitchen doorway and floors that deserve a careful dolly. Stairs are standard for appliance work, and we plan the carry from your photos.

A dead refrigerator never gets left behind a building or parked at the road. It rides back over the bridge with us, and from there it heads wherever an appliance in that condition belongs.

What we take care of

The carry is a dolly and the hands it needs. We handle the simple stuff as part of the haul — unplugging plug-in units and a basic hand-disconnect of an accessible water supply. When licensed electrical or plumbing work is needed, that’s normally handled by you or a licensed pro. Show us what you have and where it is, and we’ll help figure out what’s needed and work around it.

Anything unusual, like a unit built into the cabinets, a stacked washer and dryer, or a freezer at the back of a crowded garage, just needs to show up in the photos. We plan the job around it.

The first question once an appliance is out is whether it runs. One that still works might get an inexpensive repair and go to a family who can use it, and that depends on the unit rather than any promise.

Dead appliances and metal often go to SA Recycling in Brunswick, and refrigerators and freezers go through the appropriate refrigerant recycling channel, usually that same yard, where the refrigerant is recovered.

Plenty of them are genuinely finished, and those go to proper disposal once they’re off the island.

Pricing

What the price depends on

Appliance pricing is by unit and access: which appliances, how many, what floor, and how far from the door to the truck. Several units on one trip cost less per unit than calling about them one at a time, and the bridge crossing is part of the number from the beginning.

Firm price from your photos, confirmed before anything is loaded. The minimum for any pickup is $95. We don’t charge extra for same-day pickup when we have an open time slot.
