Who Can Take a Dead Golf Cart Off Jekyll Island?
Same-Day Golf Cart Removal on Jekyll Island Often Available — Call or Text
Yes, we take golf carts, running or not. Around here a cart isn’t only for golf, and when one dies it tends to get parked under the carport “for now” and stay there until somebody finally sets a date.
It’s heavier than it looks. The battery bank or the engine under the seat carries most of the weight, so a cart that won’t run is a dead weight on four small wheels, and the real plan is getting it from its spot to our ramps.
Jekyll Island
How a cart leaves the island
On the residential side of the island the homes are spread out and the driveways take the truck without trouble, so a cart under a carport off Captain Wylly Road is often a short push to the ramps.
Closer to the historic district it takes more coordination. Around older structures and preserved buildings, a cart parked behind a home on Old Plantation Road gets its route to the truck worked out before anybody pushes, so nothing old gets scraped on the way past.
Whatever happens on the driveway, the cart comes back over the bridge on our truck. It isn’t left beside a building or out at the curb for someone else to deal with, and the round trip is already in the quote rather than tacked on at the end.
If the cart belongs to a rental and the property manager is clearing a unit, it rides in the same load as everything else from that job, scheduled around the guest window.
What we handle
How we load it
If the cart rolls in neutral, it goes up the ramps with a steady push. If the brakes are locked or the tires are gone, we winch it, so a cart that hasn’t moved in years is still a normal job.
Tell us what kind of battery you have, or send a photo. If there’s gas in a gas cart or paperwork for a street-legal one, mention it with the photos and we’ll sort it out with you when we quote.
Send us a few photos and tell us what you need removed. We’ll take it from there.

Pricing
What sets the price
Room on the truck comes first: a single cart takes a fair share of it, and lifted carts take more. After that it’s whether the cart rolls and how far it sits from where the truck can stop. The bridge crossings that come with every job out here are counted in from the first number.
Firm price from your photos, confirmed before anything is loaded. The minimum for any pickup is $95. We don’t charge extra for same-day pickup when we have an open time slot.
After the pickup
After it’s off the island
We figure out where each part of the cart should go once it’s back on the mainland. The frame and running gear are the part with something left in them, and that metal usually goes to scrap, often at SA Recycling in Brunswick.
Seats, roofs and plastic body panels go wherever the material calls for, with landfill only for what has nowhere better to go.
