Is an Empty Boat Trailer Still Parked at Your St. Simons Home?

Yes. The boat was sold or scrapped and the trailer stayed, because it still looked useful. Years of salt air later the bearings have seized, the hubs are rusted solid and the bunks have rotted off. We take it as it is, rolling or frozen in place, whole or in pieces.
St. Simons Island
Trailers on island lots
On St. Simons a trailer ends up wherever a long, low frame would fit: down the side of a waterfront house in Harrington Landing or behind a garage out on Hampton Point at the north end. Twenty-odd feet of steel plus a tongue rarely has room to turn between a house and a fence.
Up Sea Island Road and on the bigger properties toward the north end, the driveways run long and the distance from the trailer to where our truck can stand becomes the job. Those visits run slower on purpose. A seized trailer gets winched the length of the drive instead of dragged across somebody’s lawn, and if there’s a gate, we coordinate it with whoever lets us in.
Around the Village it’s the opposite problem: older homes, almost no parking and visitors most of the year. A trailer coming out of a narrow lot there is planned on the phone and again when we pull up and see what the street is doing that morning, so we’re in and out without blocking traffic.
What we handle
Rolled, winched or cut down
There are three ways off the lot. If the wheels still turn, it rolls on whole. If the bearings have frozen or the tires have sunk, it gets winched. If the frame is too long for the space around it, it comes apart before it’s loaded. Pictures of the tires and the room around the trailer tell us which one yours is.
Paperwork missing, or the boat that went with it long gone? Mention it with the pictures; any question about it gets sorted out with you at the quote.
Send us a few photos and tell us what you need removed. We’ll take it from there.

Pricing
What sets the price
Length, whether it still rolls, and how much room there is to get it out. A short PWC trailer in an open driveway is the light end; a long pontoon trailer with frozen hubs wedged beside a house is the heavy end, and a long carry up a north-end drive adds time.
Firm price from your photos, confirmed before anything is loaded. The minimum for any pickup is $95.
What we haul
Trailers we take
- Bunk and roller trailers, boat long gone
- Pontoon trailers, wide and long
- Single and double jet ski trailers
- Seized bearings, rusted axles, flat or missing tires
- Loose winch stands, rollers, fenders and light bars
- A trailer with a dead ski or hull still strapped on
After the pickup
Where the trailer ends up
We figure out the right destination once we see what the trailer is made of and what’s still attached, and the load comes straight off the island to Brunswick.
The frame, axle and winch stand are steel, and that steel is usually recycled as scrap, often at SA Recycling in Brunswick.
Rotted bunk boards and the carpet stapled to them are the part that goes to disposal.
