Old Console Stereo or Radio Cabinet in a St. Simons Home?
Same-Day Console Stereo Removal on St. Simons Often Available — Call or Text
Yes, we take them: console stereos and hi-fi cabinets, tall radio cabinets and radio-phonographs, record player consoles, reel-to-reel recorders and karaoke cabinets. For a few decades the stereo was a piece of furniture, and it still moves like one — a sideboard that rattles.
St. Simons Island
Consoles in homes with history
The island has a lot of homes with real history in them, and a console that has stood along the same living-room wall for fifty years is part of that. Owners don’t always know what they have, so this part is never rushed: if something about a piece suggests it deserves a second look, we’ll mention it before it’s loaded, and the decision stays with you.
Picture a hi-fi cabinet in the living room of a house up in Harrington or a record console that was moved out to the garage of a home in St. Simons Heights.
In the larger, older homes up the island, you pay attention to what you’re carrying out and what you’re carrying it past. A console is long, solid and back-heavy, with loose parts inside, so the turn through a doorway and the trip down a finished hallway are planned rather than improvised, and a long carry to the truck gets more time and another set of hands.
After the pickup
Where a console goes
We figure out the right destination for each piece. Because a console is electronics inside a wooden case, it isn’t treated as plain furniture: the electronics go through appropriate electronics recycling or disposal channels when applicable, and the rest is sorted by material.
A console in good working order may find a new home through organizations we work with. That’s their call, not a promise.
It leaves the island with the rest of the load, straight to Brunswick.

What we handle
What we take care of
The lid is secured, anything loose inside is kept from shifting, and the cabinet goes out on a dolly. A console on a ground floor is a quick carry; one coming down from an attic or an upstairs den is slower and planned before anyone lifts.
The records, tapes and eight-tracks can go on the same trip, along with the speakers and the rest of the den.
Send us a few photos and tell us what you need removed. We’ll take it from there.

Pricing
What moves the price
A console takes about as much room on the truck as a dresser, so where it sits moves the price more than the cabinet itself — an attic or an upstairs den versus a ground-floor living room. Up on the north end, a long walk to the truck adds time as well.
Firm price from your photos, confirmed before anything is loaded. The minimum for any pickup is $95. We don’t charge extra for same-day pickup when we have an open time slot.
